I disagree with the other reviews that complain about the shortness of this cord- its a strength, not a weakness. I'm some reviewers may desire a longer cord, but it flies in the face of what this product was designed to do- grant access to 3 cord types in the smallest amount of space possible. If you need an extension, grab a retractable USB extender to go along with this. For quick, clutter free charging I use it with my iPhone (apple pin connector), headphones (micro usb), and GPS (mini usb). None of these require extensive cable lengths, so that means I have less to store in my travel bag. The fact that all the adapters stay attached is genius- no accidental loss and a really solid fit when completely connected pass through (to Apple pin connector).
This is pricy in comparison with other cords, but you get what you pay for- well engineered and executed.

Not sure if the designer or manufacturer will see this comment, but hope they will. I stumbled upon this clever product via a Google search for Apple 30-pin adapters. If they came up with a slightly different cable design with a USB on one end and a combination old 30-pin (iPod/iPhone/iPad) and new 8-pin (iPhone 5) ends using this same flip/slide end.
Well done, folks ... if you do this, you'll sell MILLIONS.

This cable combined with my Sony USB Battery makes my backpack a portable power station

This cable definitely cuts down on cord clutter and is perfect for your travel bag.
Have to say I love this cable! It is short (like 8"), but for connecting it to the Sony Sony Media CP-A2LS USB Portable Charger with 4,000 mAh Li-Ion Battery it rocks. The battery provides portable recharge power and the Innergie Magic Cable allows me to recharge our iPhone/iPads/Kindles/Android devices.
Unlike other connector cables where you can easily lose the plugs, these stack together like legos and are hinged to fold out of the way, but not get lost! Quality on my cable is good with no connect issues so far.

Wonderful!
