5.0 out of 5 stars no words can describe delta, June 21, 2005
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
I first purchased Mistaken Identity, and I believe it remains my favorite of the two, but Born To Try is by far my favorite Delta song of all time. She is.....amazing to say the least. This CD, as well as Mistaken Identity, are well worth the cost of the import. I questioned buying it at first, but now the price seems trivial for the almost medicinal quality of Delta's amazing voice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delta Goodrem-Talented and Inspiring, May 14, 2005

Delta Goodrem is a top Australian artist. Some of my Aussie friends introduced this singer to me and I was instantly amazed at her beautiful voice. This cd has some awsome piano backgrounds played by Miss Delta. She is talented and she has songs for everyone on her album. These songs are more mellow than those you'll find on her newer album Mistaken Identity, but they represent all that the earlier Delta stood for. This is a must have if you can find the import at a good price! You are guerenteed to love it, as many all over the world already do!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Album of the YEAR!!!, July 18, 2003
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
I have to tell you, 'Innocent Eyes' is exceptional, it is unique and worth every cent! Delta Goodrem has the most beautiful voice and her beautiful piano ballads reflect that. My very favourite songs would be 'Innocent Eyes'(track 2), 'Lost Without you'(5) and 'Not me, Not I'(3) but i still love the rest. This album went double platnium (140,000 copies sold) in only its SECOND week and debuted at #1 so you can be assured that it is a hit! I cannot express anymore praise for this brilliant album, i reccomend everyone who hasn't heard her music to BUY THIS ALBUM because it is wonderful. Another good thing about it is that Delta wrote or co-wrote almost every track on this album, if you listen to the words you really realise how realistic it is. She wrote them from her experiences and I don't know how many of you have heard but she has just been diagonosed with Hodgskins Disease (a form of cancer) at only 18. Please support Delta and her music by buying this album, believe me, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delta - Just Try It, May 6, 2003
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
I realized the majority of you won't be clicking on this review because Delta will probably not recieve that much publicity in America, even though she is already hugely famous in Australia and making waves in the UK. Lots of people are comparing her to former soapie-stars-turned-singers Kylie Minouge and Holly Valance. However, I think Delta Goodrem's style is more similar to Danielle Spencer, another unknown Ozzie in America. They both play the piano and do not go techno like Kylie or Holly. Delta wrote, or co-wrote almost all the songs on this album and she seems to have a gift! Please, any Americans or whoever you are who find this review PLEASE give Delta a chance. You don't havta buy the album, just download some of her songs..she really does have a good voice and good music. You won't regret it.

This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
If you are fairly new to discovering Australia biggest talent Delta Goodrem, you have found GOLD!!! If you have heard "Lost Without you" and love it than you must buy this cd! All the songs are great and you may even think of Celine Dion for a moment, but Delta is unique and sings with such beauty and grace.

You won't be sorry with this purchase and will then have to collect everything Delta(like I have)!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Delta is an angel, January 9, 2006
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
This is an album in which grows on yo0h. I love the fact that Delta sings purely from her heart one hundred precent. Her voice is so pure , no machines just her her instruments etc. But don't be fulled guys. Her albums ballads are ballads you can sing and dance along to then their are the songs which are funky like predictable running away. Her album is so versatile and pure hearted. It sorta sets her apart from the rest , she writes and produces some of her own songs which is why this album is totally her. Her her her no fakeness. Do i hear paris hilton? It's a really lovely albun to listen to while your down or you have friends around or when your like cleaning. The lyrics touch me and their those lovely songs which your oldies n you can both love . Delta is a massive phenomenon she can tackle all sorts of music from rock , to pop to metal to jazz. It's true! Guys just hope you enjoy this album its lovely and warm to listen to.

This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
I first heard about Delta Goodrem when I was on holiday in Australia. Her voice is amazing. Every song on this album shows the range and depth of that sweet voice. There's not one song I don't like.

I highly recommend this album

4.0 out of 5 stars She's all that, October 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)

I recently found out about Delta Goodrem from a buddy in Australia, I was so impressed with her voice and songs that I ordered her Big 3
1) Innocent Eyes (2003)
2) Mistaken Identity (2004)
3) Delta (2007)
I enjoy finding new music that has not been played to death.
She has a strong voice and good lyrics that you can understand.
Yes's she's gorgeous, but there is some serious talent here.
If you like Faith Hill, Pat Benatar and Celine style of songstress
she is All That.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Magic of Delta Goodrem, November 7, 2008
By
Irishgal (Arizona, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Innocent Eyes (Audio CD)
I was first introduced to the magic of Delta Goodrem while living in Northern Ireland in 2004. At the time, the Australian singer was a huge star in Europe, and her voice led me to this album. After a few listens, I fell in love with her amazing vocals and unique combination of piano and orchestra with pop music.

The album opens with hopeful ballad 'Born to Try', the story of the pressure that we all feel in trying to reach our dreams. While it sounds sappy, the song manages to deliver in a heartfelt manner without being over-dramatic. The album's title track, 'Innocent Eyes', along with 'Not Me, Not I' and 'Lost without You' are all piano-driven pop songs, a bit dark but filled with emotion. And 'A Year Ago Today' is a tender homage to the loss of a loved one.

Statistically speaking, one out of every four homes in Australia owns this record. It's easy to see why; Delta's voice has the power and range of Celine Dion but the propensity to sing rather than simply belt out ballads. And the music is surprisingly mature for a 17 year-old.

I initially was introduced to Delta through her second album. But it was 'Innocent Eyes' that won me over.
