I started rolling through the roster of Century Media bands (Stuck Mojo, Nevermore, My Own Victim) & pleasantly discovered OLW. My God, what an incredible CD! This truly was some of the best songwriting I had ever heard in my life! A unique singer, fused with metal and punk roots proved to be the right mix throwing in some very heavy, trompy riffs at just the right time to remind you they are a metal band. Even the haunting "Hank Crane" is a standout as well as the powerful "Downpour". Do yourself a favor, get this CD and show youself (& anyone else you can) what real music is supposed to sound like!!! PLEASE REFORM!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Boston Band From Lowell Ma., June 5, 1999

This review is from: Innocents (Audio CD)
I had the pleasure of seeing this band so many times i can`t count. Due in large fact that we share the same home town.Innocents was this bands crowning accomplishment, Alas it was also their swan song. I am still completely blown away by `Strata` and `Freak Law` these two tracks alone are worth the price of the cd. Only Living Witness--Innocents,is a blend of of explosive music and thought provoking lyric`s that at times is like a baseball bat to the skull and at other times is like two baseball bats to the skull.

I dare anyone to find a better sounding recording then Innocents, the guitar sound is so rich and powerful and is blended together with the vocals to raw perfection, backboned by one of the strong -est rythm sections, that is so flawlessly tight and puncy,it would even make Tool a little sick.

Also check out the bands other release`s..This band never released a weak album..I Swear to the god of rock n roll!!!..

When i first got this cd it didn't get many spins but when i rediscovered it later it's been all i listen to. every track on Innocents rules. seriously. starting out w/ the incredible drumming on "No Eden" the cd never lets up. standout tracks for me are "No Eden", "Some Will Never Know", "Strata", "Hank Crane" and "Downpour". also check out their first cd Prone Mortal Form. some great songs on that also. "December" would fit nicely on Innocents. that song rules. Singer Jonah Jenkins went onto sing in Milligram and Miltown and now runs Traktor7 Records and sings in Raw Radar War. [...]

This is an excellent CD. They manage to keep their "helmet-like" sound interesting and fresh. One of the best heavy albums I own.
