Customer Questions & Answers

This works great for keeping cats away from things.

I am putting the empty cans next to the active devices and am hoping that in time the cat will automatically stay away whenever he sees a can.
Jeri Williams
My only problem is that it doesn't last that long and it's fairly expensive for the refill cans.

This seems to keep the cats away as others have found. But the canister is small at 4.5oz. Get the Radio Shack spray cleaner for under $8 as a replacement. 10oz for about the same price. This is the same ingredient. The heads match and it works fine. Just remove the spray attachment from the canister. Other sprays may also work. enjoy!

My review is for the 4 refill cans I purchased, NOT the system itself. All 4 cans leaked when attached to the motion detector device which caused the cans to empty within an hour. I did not have this problem with the cans that were included in the kits previously purchased with another vendor. This item is non-returnable, but was given a complete refund by Amazon and will order refills from another vendor. The system itself works great for my cats, although each can doesn't have the number of sprays advertised.

We have had an ugly cover on our leather couch for nearly two years because our furry friends liked to use it as a bathroom (their way of making editorial comments). Now we can actually use the couch and don't have to cover it! The combination of the alarm and air squirting keeps them completely off. We hope to eventually set it for alarm only to avoid buying refills for the compressed air. Just be sure you buy the model with the alarm - they also have one with just compressed air that would tie you into endless refills.

I ordered a refill can and it justs leaks compressed air no matter how I tried fitting it on the top part. I tried sending it back but got no where. The original cans I orded with the tops have worked out fine, but the refill can has not and I want my money back or a new can.

We are a multiple cat household and I'm not sure how we would survive without the SSSCat Cat control system. We have several of them set up around the house. One keeps our cats from rattling our bedroom door in the morning, a couple of others keep them off certain pieces of furniture, and so on. We have been using them for years and our cats have never gotten so accustomed to them that the sprays have stopped being effective. Placing the top on the refill cans can be a bit tricky at first, but is easy enough once you get the hang of it. The refills may seem a bit pricey, but ours typically last for several months because the cats recognize them and, so, rarely set them off.

I purchased this to keep the cats off of the kitchen counter and out of the garden window. After the 3rd time, the cats will not even go near where they see the device sitting. It sure did the job. Don't even need to leave it turned on most of the time. They learned quickly. Money well spent.

I have had kitties all my life, and as all know, they are not prone to taking orders. LOL If youo have a spot or spots you need to keep them away from, GET THIS PRODUCT. It is incredibly effective. I don't even need the spray part of it turned on any more. It makes a whistle first, then sprays (if spray is turned on) Now they have come to associate the whistle with the spray and just skedaddle. Counter tops, back of my computer where the wires are. They don't even go near any of it anymore, as they know this thing is there. Pavlov dogs. Great great product.

The refills are very short on the number of sprays. They advertise 150-200 and you are lucky to get maybe 50. Very expensive to keep buying refills. The product is a great training aid though.
