4.0 out of 5 stars Great little Camera at a cheap price.
I purchased this little Camera from some Street Vendors in the Monterey Peninsula. The reason I bought it was because it was so inexpensive and because I have other Items made by Innovage. Clock Radio, and 2 Telephones. All the Items I have ever had from Innovage have been very good to me and always work just fine.
I have been reading alot of other reviews...

1.0 out of 5 stars WORST PICTURES EVER! DON'T BOTHER
If you are buying this as a gift, you're going to be embarassed. The quality of the pictures are horrible. No matter how close you stand, the pictures come out fuzzy. Spend a little bit more, and get a disposable camera. Also, no flash, so if there is not enough light, your pictures will come out completely grey.

I have been reading alot of other reviews concerning this little Camera and am amazed by what people have written. People act as if they are purchasing a Minolta Digital SLR or better. What do you want for such a cheap price?
I have many Cameras of all sorts and I must say that for this cheap little Camera, it functions and works just fine.
I paid $9.95 for it and it came with a USB Cord and a CD for software installation and a little Case. The USB Cord alone is worth the $9.95....
As far as taking pictures it works fine for me. The only thing a Person needs to make sure of when taking a picture is that He/She is not standing to far away from the Object they wish to photograph. If they follow these simple Rules they will have No problems with pictures.
Someone wrote that the Battery contacts are cheap and poor. I haven't found that to be true at all. If you install the batteries and then carry the Camera around in your Pocket or sling it around what would you expect? I would recommend this little Gem to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune. It works just fine and is so easy to use. Hope this little write up helps everyone who reads this.... God Bless you all....

4.0 out of 5 stars Fine for the price, July 6, 2005
This review is from: Innovage Outdoor Sports Mini Digital Camera (Sports)
You get what you pay for, which in this case ain't bad. This camera DOES work. The pics are definitely low-res, but not bad. Handy for carrying in your pocket so you can take a pic anywhere. Not good for low-light conditions or distant objects, however. The webcam DOES work (I tried it). Included software is basic but functional. A cool gift for a kid or that 'James Bond' in all of us. Runs on 1 battery, so it's cheap to carry an extra one. Resolution can be set to high or low. Slightly bigger than a box of matches. No LCD screen, but USB upload to my PC worked flawlessly.

I honestly don't know why so many people are complaining about low image quality. What do you expect at this price? the quality of a Nikon D70?? If so, you need to come back to reality.
As long as you keep in mind the camera's limitations, it functions beautifuly. I make sure to stand about 3' from the subject and always take pictures in broad daylight. My pictures have turned out amazingly well for such a small, cheap camera.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loads of fun., August 15, 2005
Lots of people hate this thing, but why would someone spending $20 on a tiny flimsy piece of plastic expect great pictures?

I bought this last week, and have been shooting pictures with it all over town. The pictures are strange, oddly blurry, and the colors are all goofy, but they all have their odd charm to them, and it's loads of fun to be able to take the thing out in the middle of a restaurant and shoot pictures.

I've spent much more on cameras and not had nearly as much fun with them as I did with this one.

If you're looking for museum-quality photos, forget it.

If you're looking for the sorts of photos you should expect out of a $20 camera and want to have loads of fun shooting them and then putting the camera back in your pocket, get this. you'll have a blast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool little digital cam, December 6, 2005
I made a blog where I posted pictures I took using this camera at keychaincamera.blogspot.com See the pictures for yourself and deside if its worth it.

I think this camera is awesome. I have a canon powershot sd550, but I don't want to break it by taking it to work on constructions sites or leave it in the car in the hot sun by accident (i did that with my first digital cam). I use the keychain for taking quick shots for reference only. not for taking nice pictures. Well worth the price, and you can thourgh in your tool bag, purse, etc.

Sure you can get a mobile phone with a cam that has simular or better quality, but then you're adding at least $100 bucks to the price of your phone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Definite piece of garbage!, December 27, 2004
I recieved this camera from my parents as a Christmas gift the day before yesterday. At first, I thought it was a cool camera, being small & all.. When I tried using it though, I was very disappointed. There was no flash, so I had to make my own lighting just to take pictures indoors. When I did take pictures, the picture came out HORRIBLE! The picture quality was the worst that I had seen, & this was from a supposedly hi resolution picture.

If anyone even thinks of getting this camera, I advise you not to. The price might be great, but the camera isn't.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little cheap-o, November 9, 2005
This review is from: Innovage Outdoor Sports Mini Digital Camera (Sports)
I got mine at a local geek store for about $10. While I have not used it extensively, I have used the camera and my husband used the webcam. Both worked well enough. If you are realistic at all, you get more than you expect with this camera. The webcam worked well and the pictures were much better than I would expect. They were clear, easy to center (which, no lcd screen...I figured would be a problem). It is great to take somewhere that you are afraid to take an expensive camera and high-end photos are not needed.

2.0 out of 5 stars not COMPLETELY worthless, December 5, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Innovage Outdoor Sports Mini Digital Camera (Sports)
The resolution of 640 x 480 is adequate for small photos. Downloading the pictures requires their special front end software, which is a pain, but works fine.

I bought this for my kids to use so we wouldn't run the risk of damaging the "real" digital camera. Unfortunately, the camera needs perfect conditions to take good pictures, so their pictures turn out dark or blurry.

If you want a digital camera for a youngster and you think that all of the pictures can be taken in bight light with no motion (from either the object or the shooter) then this camera might work for you. But since many no-zoom "real" cameras are under $100 now, you're probably better off going that route.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy lil thing, February 28, 2006
This review is from: Innovage Outdoor Sports Mini Digital Camera (Sports)
I enjoy the freedom this little camera gives me, it also allows me to not have to worry about bringing my camera with me due to the fact it is always on me. If you enjoy snapping pictures at the most obscure moments I would recomend this item.
