Editorial Reviews

Review

“Innovation is one of the most challenging aspects of management to comprehend and put into practice. Goffin and Mitchell do an admirable job of assembling an arsenal of strategic tools within a comprehensive framework to help both students and practitioners of innovation. This book is the achievement of a delicate balancing act between depth and breadth that will ensure its place on the bookshelves of MBA students and managers alike.” —Peter Erdélyi, Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Marketing, Bournemouth University, UK

5.0 out of 5 stars Nuts & Bolts of Innovation Management, May 21, 2010

This review is from: Innovation Management: Strategy and Implementation using the Pentathlon Framework (Paperback)
I'm reading this book for an MBA course on leading innovation. It's a good book for understanding the fundamentals of innovation management. Unlike others that are long winded about the "why" of innovation, this book moves readers quickly into the "how to" of innovation management.

I highly recommended the book if you're new to the process of innovation.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good as a start!, December 29, 2010

Clear cut and good. For more advanced learners, suggested to read others such as Tidd and Dodgson as well. Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great hands-on reference book in innovation, October 13, 2009
This review is from: Innovation Management: Strategy and Implementation using the Pentathlon Framework (Paperback)
The Innovation Management book is an excellent, hands-on reference book related to the innovation process. The authors have in this book compiled practical methods in how to map and monitor the innovation climate inside an organization. And they have not stopped by that - the authors have also given practical examples on how to move on from an identified level in order to boost the innovation.

The many case boxes also help in practical understanding how the level of innovations can change in a company.

I used the book during my MBA studies at the Stockholm School of Economics, Leading Innovation
