Cosponsored with the Minnesota Chemical Dependency Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals, this conference was the third in Gallaudet's series on substance abuse and the deaf and hard of hearing community. Keynote sessions included an address by Dr. Glenn Anderson and Rose Moore on providing multicultural services and a panel discussion substance abuse and recovery led by Dr. Peter J. Seiler. Other presentations covered a wide range of rated topics, including substance abuse prevention, treatment, and aftercare; AIDS prevention; domestic violence,; deaf culture and identity; sexuality and intimacy; and spirituality.
