Product Description

Made in the U.S.A. The TDC Indicator allows a technician to accurately set any position to top dead center. Just remove the spark plug, screw in the gauge and rotate the engine while observing the graduation marks on the sliding shaft. Note the top piston stroke.

This is a perfect tool to find TDC. You read all the time about people using screw drivers etc and I have to ask myself 'why'? Why, when there's a tool that accurately measures TDC with its own scale? If you can't afford this tool, then you have no business working on motors. And it's especially suited for deep spark plug wells found in many if not most engines these days.

When your timing belt breaks and you need to find your top dead centre (tdc) of a particular piston, you use this tool. As you rotate the crankshaft, with this screwed into the spark plug socket of the cylinder your looking at, it rises and falls. Its highest point is the tdc for that piston.

It did its job, and helped me get my car back on the road. Its permanently in my toolbox.
