The best oil filter "wrench" available - for front of the vehicle located oil filters (Lexus & Toyota). Avoid manifold burns and scrapes with this long reach oil filter removal tool.

Great for hard-to-reach oil filters, such as the one that's in the 02-04 Acura RSX. I had to bring it in to the dealership for oil changes all this time because I could never get the filter off. I tried the band-gripper tool as well as a filter wrench, but it wouldn't budge until I took the Gator Jaws to it. Even then it wasn't easy, and the filter almost tore in two. Now I can do my own oil change at home thanks to the Gator Jaws.

I work at an oil facility and have been been doing so for two years. Sometimes you get these cars like those manufactured by lexus/ toyota where the oil filter is located beneath the manifold towards the front of the engine, well these cars are coming in off the road hot. Without filter pliers like these you are guarranteed to suffer burns and abrasions while trying to get these filters off. Unfortunately I now work at a facility that doesn't have these pliers and my hands have all the proof that I need to let me know that I need these. If you are like me and care about the appearance and overall health of your hands I suggest you get yourself a pair of these babies.

These gator pliers are well made( made in USA). I did imagine the tips were straight , but they have slight curve to them , which I could see from the picture. I have not used them ,yet but I have no doubt that they will come in handy taking off or loosening all types of filter's depending on location and acess or a stuck valve or lawn mower blade nut or bolt, countless applications , another words use's .
