More About the Author

Magued G. Iskander, PhD, PE, F.ASCE is a geotechnical engineering educator with 25 years of experience including analysis, design, and construction of foundations including teaching, research, and consulting. He is recognized as a leader in modeling of soil structure interaction and flow using transparent soil surrogates, and in behavior of piling made of recycled polymers. He conducted over $6.5 million in funded research and published over 75 papers. He is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Career Award and five highly regarded teaching awards.
