The beautiful guitar work at the beginning of Algo Contigo sets the tone for the entire CD...romantic and nostalgic boleros sung as only Los Panchos could sing them, updated with lush orchestral arrangements and the voice of El Puma, too! This latest tribute is a fine companion to volumes I and II, and features some especially good guitar passages (in Ansiedad, for example, there's some really deft fingering). From the serenity of Sabras Que Te Quiero to the bounciness of Espinita, each track showcases the great harmony of a great trio, and the new arrangements make the songs that much more beautiful. Because of El Puma's labor of love, the music of Los Panchos will enchant a whole new generation. Gracias!

If you loved volumes 1 & 2, you will ADORE this latest in the series. El Puma has kept the Panchos legacy alive and well. These heartfelt love songs are given a beautiful new orchestral treatment, with superb guitar work, especially on Algo Contigo and Ansiedad. Thanks to José Luis Rodriguez, a whole new generation can now discover the magic that was, and will always be, Trio Los Panchos. Bravo!

Jose Luis Rodriquez recreates the excellent bolero melodies of the Trio Los Panchos (TLP). He even improves upon them because of the added instrumentalization (primarily violins) and higher fidelity with more uniform level (volume) control of the modern recording process. Like the original TLP recordings, he uses small-guitar instrumental introductions on every track. The result is an excellent production. If you enjoyed TLP in the sixties and seventies, you will appreciate this.
