I've got over 800 miles on my RL315s and they're still going strong! They have everything a serious trail runner needs, and nothing superfluous. They're light and flexible with a secure heel and no slippage. Drainage and drying time are fast and they don't hold onto stones. You can kick mud out of the soles easily after you come out of the slop and get back onto firmer ground. Pretty much everything you expect from a competent *trail shoe* is in here, except Gore-Tex, which you can get in the GTX version if you want it.

Inov-8 fit tends toward the narrow, so it may well not be the perfect shoe for every foot, and you should generally order half a size larger than normal. But if this shoe fits, you'll love it.

Regarding the "bling" of the silver version mentioned in the first review here, well, whatever. Get them dirty, that's what they're made for!

first of all i bought the grey color shoes and when i got then they have a shinny metalic mesh all over the top of the shoe. this isn't visible is the picture and i don't think i can pull off wearing some blinged out shoes. when the shoes did arrive i took them out of the box to realize there is dirt all over my hands. It was from the bottom of the "new" shoes, they were used and had mud on the bottom of both pairs. this has been my first time to ever experience anything like this at amazon. it was easy to send them back.
