I'm an Ophthalmologist who frequently has to perform consults on admitted inpatients in the hospital. Usually, these patients cannot get out of bed and into a slit lamp for a thorough corneal exam.

Using the blue LED microlight with fluorescein sodium enables me to assess a patient's cornea for abrasions and other conditions that would break down the corneal epithelium.

The ability to change the brightness of the LED is a bonus of this particular item. Some patients are extremely photophobic, and being able to turn down the light increases cooperativeness with the exam. Plus, this light is also great for performing fluorescein exams on babies in the ER or in the clinic.

I liked this product so much that I have already bought two more as gifts for other ophthalmologists.

I couldn't be happier. I think all my friends are jealous of mine because I use it every chance I get. I plan on getting one for everyone in the family.

I use several of these keychain microlights, white and green. the green works good at night outdoors, adding dimension to the light which the white does not provide in darkness where walking paths are uneven. the white works great everywhere and anytime. Uses common battery and last a long time (well over a year) Even the metal clips have multiple uses well after light wears out (the plastic loop that holds the clip does wear out after a few years of daily use on a key ring).

I bought this as it is a very dark 30' walk from my car to my house when I come home at night. I thought the blue light would be kinda cool, but I wish I had gotten the plain white light. The light is sufficient and does the job (illuminates my path) but the blue tint just seems distorting.
I would recommend this to someone who only needs a small point of light (the spot on the ground is about 16" wide) and needs to have it handy.
This flashlight is so small and lightweight I don't mind it's presence on my keychain. And since it's on my keychain, I'm never stumbling in the dark.

These tiny LEDs are perfect for just about any application. Just clip them on and you have instant light whenever you need it. I picked mine up for about $5, so the price here is a little steep. I used it for an entire year without any failures. It is still going strong! Highly recommended!
