Excellent flashlight, bright, good runtime, lifetime warranty,

I bought this flashlight as a gift for my Dad, and it exceeds all my expectations. I am a hobbyist flashlight collector and this is one of the brighter ones I've seen, and with great reliability too. It lasted for around 5hr30m on a drain-to-empty test with a very nice discharge curve: full brightness until 5:20 or so then you can see it rapidly dimming, then it dims out to a low "moon mode" where it produces a bit of light for a long time. In fact, I let it run overnight and it was still dimly lit the next morning. While it might not sound like much, this is enough light to use for looking for a new pair of batteries.The forward tactical clicky switch is very nice. Slightly depress for momentary-on, push a bit more and it clicks on, then push again to click off. Untwist cap half a turn to lock out actions. It is made out of HA-III aluminum which is scrashproof and impact resistant. I have a similar material flashlight that I've dropped out of a 2-story window onto concrete and ran over with my SUV and it still works, just with a very minor scratch where it hit the floor. For flashlight nerds, the one I received uses a Luxeon K2 emitter and a DC-DC converter voltage regulation. Oh yeah, did I mention this thing has a lifetime warranty? I've had an Inova product before that died out on me after 2 years of faithful service and just a quick e-mail to CS, I got a response on a day asking me to just send it in with a note and return address, and within 2 weeks I got back a brand-new replacement. No questions asked, no RMA, no proof of purchase, none of that. Wow! I fully recommend buying this flashlight. Though the price looks ridiculous for a "flashlight" it is unlike any flashlight you've used. If you want something better than this one, you will need to shell out even bigger bucks.

Nice bright light, but after about 5 minutes it cycles off for a few minutes, probably due to over heating. For over $50, I expected much better. Beware.Would I buy it again? Nope.
