Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The T-Series puts strategic advantage into the hands of professionals for whom every thought, action and piece of equipment can be critical to the mission. That's why police and military professionals around the world rely on Inova flashlights to get the job done.

The Inova T4 offers major benefits over competing rechargeables because it provides up to two times the burn time (as much as two hours of constant uniform light output) and recharges in about a quarter of the time. The T4 can be recharged any time, without waiting for the battery to be fully discharged--and the battery can be recharged hundreds of times. The 125-Lumen LED source is effective up to 300 feet--visibly illuminating objects at football-field distances.

This advanced light comes in a sturdy, aircraft-grade aluminum body that's machined from solid bar stock (not extruded tubing), with a military-grade Type III anodized hard-coat head. It boasts a mid-body switch that's located for optimal control.

The T4's lifetime LED bulbs are virtually indestructible, and the light's power regulation offers constant, uniform light output brightness over battery life. Includes charger cradle plus power supplies for AC and DC charging.

What's in the Box

3.0 out of 5 stars Police Reveiw of Inova T4, 2009 Series, November 4, 2009
This review is from: Inova T4-WB 175 Lumen Rechargeable LED Flashlight, Black (Electronics)
As a police officer I rely on my equipment to save my life. None of us are nice to our equipment so when a cop gives an assessment of a product, it is from a worse case/best case scenario. The following review is based on real world application in a profession that does not forgive.

Emmisive Energy Corp: Inova T4.
Purchased on April 11, 2009

This light outperforms expectation in an urban environment. Battery life is exceptional along with the charging time. Beam is very focused. The light's strobe was found to be effective in disorienting suspects both in darkness and in semi-lit areas. Fit and finish are very good with the light being comfortable to use and work with.

Pros: After being dropped on concrete from shoulder height several times over the last seven months, this light still performs flawlessly. Great shock resistance. On/off button easy to use and switch between strobe and low power. Battery life and charging time significantly better then competing companies (Surefire, Streamlight).

Cons: The on/off switch sometimes will not hold the light on. I have found that you will sometimes have to keep pushing the switch to get the light off of "momentary on/off".

Not to be used in contact with ANY water.
Inova claims that the light is water resistant. After speaking with Dot (ext. 204) in the customer service dept. I was informed that the light would withstand momentary submergence in a puddle. Washing off a biological contaminate (blood) under the sink faucet exceeded the "water resistant" claim. Water was found inside the battery compartment and toggle switch area which caused the light to stop working. Inova offered to take the light, battery and charging cradle back. The charge would then be $39.95 for a replacement.

As an update, after speaking with Laurie with Emmisive Energy Corp, they have agreed to replace the light at no cost. Laurie did state that placing the light under running water exceeded the "water resistant" capability.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Light!, February 8, 2008
This review is from: Inova T4-WB 175 Lumen Rechargeable LED Flashlight, Black (Electronics)
First, for those who have had an issue charging the light and got the flashing blue light when on the charger, the problem is most likely a bad electrical connection. Unscrew the battery end and clean the silver colored, unanodized, end of the cap to remove any grease that is hindering an electrical connection. The cap is part of the electrical system and any grease between the cap and the body of the light will mess with the connection. Also, clean the charging contacts on the light with a pencil eraser (just rub it like you are erasing)...This will clean off any gunk that could be messing with the connection. I've had charging issues and this is all it takes to correct them.

With all that said, I love this light. Constant output for 2 hours, unlike Mag and Streamligh lights that dim after a few minutes and continued to yellow out. This is a pure while light, with no artifacts in the beam....meaning its a nice even illumination tool. It's not cheap, but you are paying for quality. I have used mine for about 6 months, in rain, fog, complete darkness, indoors, outdoors.....and it just performs without question. You can not go wrong with it.

Lastly, if you are going to buy the T4, buy the new version that Inova is releasing this spring of '08. The output went up from 125 lumens to 175 lumens.....for those not familiar with light ratings, it is one heck of an increase! Try it and you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Had to try to average this out, September 27, 2007

I don't know why Paula posted the same negative review twice--but I've had my Inova now for almost a year and change--and it's been a fantastic light. I also have a Mag rechargeable and while the mag has better control on lighting, the Inova is far more sleek, and more concentrated light wise. Fantastic light, bottom line--and I haven't had any problems with charging it. In fact, no problems period.
