From the Manufacturer
This micro Stirling engine is plated with 24 karat gold. Invented by Robert Stirling in 1816 as a ‘hot-air engine’, the Stirling Engine uses a hot heat source and cold heat sink to expand and contract air in a sealed cylinder, thereby moving a piston up and down. This desktop engine uses a small alcohol burner for heat. Exceptional quality and craftsmanship, all of Inpro Solar's products are made in Germany and make excellent executive gifts.
