This is the best off road racing game there is and I have played many! You want High Speed, Great Graphics, & the best physics? This is the game for you! This is the Rolls Royce of OFF-Road racing games. This game is so much fun that it's addictive! With an endless line up of vehicles with Insane speeds on over 30 tracks all over the world. From Arizona to Zimbabwe, with multiple games in Single & Multiplayer modes Championship & Practice modes. Like Jamboree, Return The Flag, Capture The Flag, Pathfinder, Off Road Race, The Destruction Zone & Even Free Roam. Your Vehicles can be configured the way you want by gear ratios, braking power, steering force and more. Real life like damage where you can and will total your vehicle but don't worry hit the Repair button and it's brand new again. I feel safe in saying that anybody that likes racing will Love this game!

First, this is an excellent game. Very nice graphics, super playability, flexible and, most important, Fun! As you master certain games, more games unlock and more vehicles become available (you start with just 3). Designed for online play, plenty of resources exist for this function. Of course, it can be played solo. Simply this is the best off road game I've played.

Ok, so back to the number of stars. I use a Logitech MOMO Force Wheel (Highly recommended) for racing games, the only kind of game I play. Insane has the capability of using force feedback, which the MOMO Force is designed for. Unfortunately, Insane did not apply it realistically at all. Compared to other Racing games, such as NASCAR 2002, NASCAR Legends, Grand Prix Legends, etc., it pretty much [isn't good]. The opportunity for Force Feedback to be an intricate part of the game should have been a major goal of the developers, since it is based off road. They missed on this, badly. Basically, the feedback you receive does not match the terrain you cover.

However, if Force Feedback was not a consideration, this would be a 5 star rating. The game is cool enough that I am willing to overlook this failing and recommend the game. Just can't give it 5 stars. Buy the game, and have fun!

You can keep yourself amuzed for hours with this, but don't buy 4x4 evolution at the same time, i did and that was a mistake becasue they both do alot of the same thing so i only pla one of them, mainly 1nsane, and i probably wasted my money on 4x4 Evolution. It has great graphics, and can be very challenging at some points, there are a plethera of game modes, and ways to fine tune your truck.

When I bought this game, I was totally amazed at the gameplay, the graphics and the realism. There are many different game modes:Pathfinder, Capture The Flag, Gate Hunt, just to name a few. There is a very large selection of vehicles and tracks, in which I was very amazed. From a little ATV to a Monster 8x8. Insane has to be the BEST Off-Road game out there!! DEFINATELY BUY IT!! IT IS WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE!!!

I have a Jeep Wranger and have been wanting a 4x4 game that actually depicts 4wheeling the way it should be. 4x4 Evolution was ok, but it was too slow, and didn't have any Jeeps. 1NSANE has Jeep vehicles and is heads up action the whole time. The graphics are awesome and the customization of the vehicles is incredible. You can even change between open or locked differentials. This game is worth the $...

Even though this game is a few years old, it is still one of the best. Why? because its one of a slim few that actually let the vehcles get damaged, flip over, get stuck, skid out, etc.

Even though you cannot upgrade the vehicles, There are many different vehicles to chose from and many tracks. Also there is a level editor and a "free roam" mode so you can explore the track and do all kinds of crazy jumps.

If 4x4 Evo 2 and Insane were combined, that would make for an almost perfect off- road racing game.

I was never into racing games , but when i tried insane ,, wow ,,this is the coolest comp game i have ever played ...and i was diligent enough to master it , i won all 66 championship races , and opened up the location generator , so i ca n now create my own locations to drive in , besides the 33 i already opened . , not to mention i have every car or truck at my disposal .. make no mistake it is very challenging to win all 66 races , it took me months ,, and though now i have played this game tirelessly for a year . i am still not sick of it ... so i bought it on disc so i can have it for life .. the people i have shared this game with feel the same way as i do about it .. this should be more heavily advertised ,, it could be a big seller once again ,, maybe it would even prompt code masters to do a sequel with todays graphics ..what a extremely wonderful game .. to all get it now , you won't regret it ....from a master of INSANE ..KAREN ..............................

This is a great game, all the physics are life-like. There are many different game modes too, such as capture the flag, return the flag, destruction zone, etc. There is also a wide varity of vehices to choose, each with 4 different paint jobs. It also has very nice, smooth graphics, nothing jerky at all, and this is how detailed it is, dirty actually kicks up on your vehicle. There are many camera modes too. There are tons of areas to choose from too, with a morning, day and night mode. This is a great game, it has real life physics, so if you're looking for the best off-road game, I have to recomend this.

So I unwrap my self an issue of Computer Gaming World, and stick in the demo disc to play this game called 1NSANE. Don't be fooled by the name, this is not a Twisted Metal rip-off, it's actually a great arcade/simulation Off Road racer, that is actually entertaining! The graphics ar preety good considering todays computers games (don't compare this to Gran Turismo 3:A Spec, it's not that good), with beautiful car models and pleasent terrain, even though your ground will buckle and shift in front of you sometimes, the game is mostly high quality with nice lighting texturing(most non-hardcore gamers will be just fine with the graphics, heck, I'm hardcore and love them). The sound is good, even though it's shared (an Off Road VW Bug shares the same engine noises as a Souped Up Nissan Truck?) which may want the phonicly demanding wanting more, but the sound is exceptional, and nothing that will want to tear your ears off in agony. The gameplay, is soooo balanced and wunderbar! Online play includes great modes, like Capture the Flag and Getting to different area's first, these multiplayer modes are included in single play also. But what is really great about it all, is a world with no "Unbreakable fences", which will give you a true sense of freedom. But dont be fooled, its not a big world, that would blow up your comp, its one map that continues upon itself(if you go north off the map you'll end up at the southmost are of the map, get it?), but it's still fabulous non the less. Heck this was all in the demo! I'm buying it right now! -This is a must buy Racing/Off Road title!-

This game is insane!You can drive anywhere you'r heart desires, plus if your like me and like to wreck your vehicle this game is perfect for that.Let's say you roll your vehicle,your mirrors and anything on the exterior breaks off!Plus,if you fly off a cliff,your roof's bound to get smashed in,you might lose a tire or four,and bend the frame as well!Awesome!BUY IT NOW!
