3rd CD from Sleeze Beez is a Charm!,
By Michael B Pastorek (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Insanity Beach (Audio CD)
Insanty Beach, the basically unknown and never heard about 1994 CD is availabe only as an import. Sleze Beez fans who loved "Screwed, Blued, and Tattoed" and "Powertool" will also love Insanity Beach. Fans who loved the first two CD's (very melodic, AOR friendly) might also dislike (not hate) this CD. How can that be you ask? Unless you really, really, know the Sleeze Beez sound, this one sounds totally different from the previous releases. Too me, this is a good thing. I love all 3 of their recordings. Insanity Beach is a lot more heavier, faster, and agressive! If you love straight forward rock / metal, you will love this. Yes, there is a slower song/ballad called "The Long Goodbye", but all the others are played fast n' furious. This reminds me of the CD "Slave to the Grind" by Skid Row - In-Your-face rock! My big question is why was this never released in the US? (That damn Seatle grunge scene ended the 80's, early 90's metal music from being mainstream). This is a keeper and a must have for any true Sleeze Beez fan....worth the extra import price.

THE SLEEZE BEEZ ARE BACK WITH A POWERFUL STING!,
By Antoinette Avalon (USA) - See all my reviews

Anybody who loved the Sleeze Beez album "Screwed, Blued, and Tattooed" has had a long wait to hear from this wonderful band. Their new album, "Insanity Beach" was well worth the wait. They have stayed true to their classic rock and rebellion style with this album, although the sound is a little heavier than their previous effort. Their vocalist, Andrew Elt, remains true to form, punching out powerful range and feeling with each song. In the tradition of bands like Aerosmith, Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Kiss and Whitesnake, Sleeze Beez delivers with "Insanity Beach". They give us a taste of the heart of "metal", killer cords and controversial lyrics that make the fans scream for more and the critics of genre scream for censorship. Their first album is one of my personal favorites. I'm going to add "Insanity Beach" to my personal favorites list. If you love "metal", you'll love the Sleeze Beez "Insanity Beach". My only recommendation is, come on Sleeze Beez, you need a web page or something. There doesn't appear to be any PR for this band! With "Insanity Beach" being as good as it is, they're gonna need it, because the fans will want to know!

I always wondered what happened to these guys.Sleeze had put out their first two CD's on Atlantic and then were dropped by the label. So,this is their third release.Decently impressive '80's-like hair metal rock.Well, sort of.Cuts I dug were "Tell It To The Judge",the melodic "Save Yourself","Gun Culture" and "Best Things In Life Are Free".Might appeal to fans of Steelheart,Junkyard,Britny Fox and the Sea Hags.
