5.0 out of 5 stars Advanced Topics with especially useful techniques, January 11, 1998
This review is from: Inside 3D Studio Max, V II & III (Hardcover)
This is an advanced text which represents a quantum leap from Volume I of this series. The examples are well chosen and thoughtfully executed, and most MAX users will find techniques which they need embedded somewhere in the examples. The index is a little weak, and the reference version of MAX used in this book (1.X) has been superseded. Nevertheless, a very useful tome.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Max of all Max Books., October 29, 1997
By
neumeyer@wcic.org (West Lafayette, Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inside 3D Studio Max, V II & III (Hardcover)
For anyone who has worked with Max for several hundred hours, they have begun to see the complexities involved in creating and designing in this environment. Max is a very powerful program with a large and growing database of information. The more the program is used, the more dynamic it becomes. This book offers experienced users a series of paths with which to explore the dynamic and "alive" database within Max. This is not a book intended for novice or beginning users. The complexities and assumptions of the authors force this book into the realm of experienced users, who can and have delved deep within Max and are now looking for more and different ways of designing, creating, and producing using this program.
