Respectable, with experience,

This review is from: Inside Becoming a Model (Paperback)
There have been a number of harsh accusations about this book however; I personally moved to Los Angeles from the east coast to pursue modeling and acting. Not only did I book the first audition I ever went on, I have been very successful in all of my endeavors in LA thanks to a lot of the heeds and warnings in Robert Noll's informative text. The book is quite informative and steered me away from a great deal of trouble and enabled me to get a fantastic commercial agent, theatrical agent, and modeling agent. With the help of this book, myself and my parents were reassured of how to approach the business coming from no experience. Now that I have extensive experience in the field, I would highly recommend this book to any young starlet looking for some TRUTH and guidance in the harsh reality of the modeling and acting world.

An ad for the model school/model convention industry,
By Model Agent (New York City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inside Becoming a Model (Paperback)
This is a classic "wolf designing the security system for the henhouse" book. The author is a former owner of modeling schools who also gets paid to go to expensive modeling conventions supported by the schools. The advice in the book that modeling schools are worthwhile renders the whole book suspect. Avoid this one.

Dangerous!,
This review is from: Inside Becoming a Model (Paperback)
This sparse book (138 pages, but double spaced so it takes up a lot more paper than the number of words should) is actually dangerous. It is written by a former modeling school owner, and it actually suggests that going to modeling schools is a good way for people to enter professional modeling! That advice is directly opposite that given by virtually every knowledgeable, independent modeling industry professional, and could cost model hopefuls thousands of dollars in worthless classes and other services provided by "modeling schools". This book should be avoided!
