There's quite a mystery surrounding how this book came about which is explained in Lonsdale's journal/contacts with his deceased wife presented in the book, THEANNA. I have read exerpts from that book and feel the information is genuine, as is the information in INSIDE DEGREES, channeled from the same source. I don't always get enthusiastic over channeled info, but the readings in INSIDE DEGREES move me -- and the many with whom I've shared it -- very deeply almost always. So I give it 5 stars.

Not for the unimaginative, however.

Favorite degree-book but not for those afraid of the multi-dimensional. The best of Lonsdale's series of astrological books; truly a jouney into the Now. I've used it for years and had to buy a second copy as the original was so dog-eared. The language, symbolism and messages suberbly relevant to this period of Earth-healing.

I found this book to be quite extraordinary on several levels. What struck me was a profound level of intimately insightful multi-dimensional potentiality for each individual degree. Potent insights given in a few sentences that, if one is open, act upon the individual right away like homeopathic doses of clarity and resonance. As an example, a dear loved one in my family was going through a dark and dangerous time. It was easy to go into despair and worry (which I did) until I realized the insights of this person's inside degrees were available to me through this book. Using an excellent free birthchart from Astrodienst, I correlated this person's degrees with the long-view metaphysical 'picture stories' described in this book (note that one must shift up 1 degree in all cases for accuracy. A 9.3' Pisces translates to 10' Pisces in Elias' book here). Doing this allowed me to come away with much deeper and profound insights that helped to build a communication bridge with this person where none could occur before. Today, this person considers me 'the only person she can talk to who understands her at the deepest level.' Hey, it's Elias working through me. Thank you for these rich and rare glimpses into the potentiality of our individual and collective futures.

I have a number of books that give symbols and explanations for each degree of the zodiac. I don't think at all like this author. I don't get anything from his symbols and explanations. I looked up some of the degrees that mean something in my chart, and I found no value in his readings.

Another thing I noticed, confirming my negative rapport with this author, is that he obviously is familiar with the Charubel and Sepharial degree readings and he prefers Charubel and ignores Sepharial. I believe that Sepharial provides the best set of degree symbols I've ever seen, and I would place Charubel lower on the list.

This author turns the zodiac upside down, ignoring the traditional order of the signs. He is extremely individualistic. That isn't necessarily a drawback, but it isn't necessarily a positive either. Since I don't identify with anything he does, I don't consider it a strength that he is so far out on his own limb here. It would be different if he knocked me out with his readings. I was hoping he would, which is why I bought the book.
