5.0 out of 5 stars the perfect book from the perfect band, January 31, 2005
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
I just received this book in the mail and immediately read it cover to cover. The photographs are phenomenal! What was particularly moving for me (I no longer say amazing because the guys are so consistent with this) is the humility of the band members. In their interviews (both live and in this book) they are interesting as people, not just rock icons. I'm an older fan (43 years old) and a lot of people my age are surprised about my devotion to Linkin Park. It comes from listening to rock and roll for 30+ years and never hearing anything that comes close to the talent exhibited by this group. It is not just their individual talent, and they are all immensely talented individuals, but the synthesis of those individual talents into a sound that is unlike anything ever heard on this planet. Their music moves me in a spiritual way. Thank you Linkin Park so much for your music and this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, great band., December 10, 2004
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
This book simply amazed me, its beautiful, and it goes in depth like we have never seen linkin park before. This really does get into their personal lives. Over 200 exclusive photos never seen, and handwritten captions by the band, i dont think this book could go wrong.

Theres fun written everywhere in this book. There are amusing photos of towel fights and the guys just having general fun! I reccomend to any linkin park fan. Its never too late to get close, to get inside, what really is linkin park.

5.0 out of 5 stars From The Inside: Linkin Parks meteora Review, February 28, 2005
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
From the Inside: Linkin Parks Meteora is a really good book. It tells you how the band started out and gives you interesting facts about the band, Linkin Park. The book tells you what the fans mean to the band, and where the root of their songs and music comes from. A 'Rolling Stone' reporter gives you his insight on the band, and talks about the interview he had with Linkin Park. I would definately recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Linkin Park, or to anyone in a band, or starting a band. They give you good tips to keep in mind if you are in a band and making music, and what to expect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Think you know everything about Linkin Park? Think again!, December 11, 2004
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
Read their first ever authorized book 'From The Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora' and you'll learn a lot of new information. I've been a fan of LP since Hybrid Theory and I learned way too much to talk about here! Did you know that Phoenix has tattoo's? What about movie roles for Chester? What band inspired Rob to play the drums? Why did Joe start directing videos? When did Mike begin playing the piano and why? Did you know that Brad is the band's merchandising coordinator? I sure didn't until I read this book! You will find all these answers and lots more in this book. The pictures make it even more amazing. Some have never been released before now. They will take you into the amazing world of Linkin Park. If you're already a fan you'll love them even more. I loved this book and would recommend it to everyone!

4.0 out of 5 stars Long time fan, February 25, 2005
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
I've been a Linkin Park fan for probably about 6 years now and I'm amazed every time hear something new from them. The creativity and energy they put into each note, each measure of anything they put thier names on. That type of dedication is severely lacking in the music business today. I'm glad to say to say I'm a fan, without any hesistation or worries. I've read this book, 2 maybe three times and it's the kind of book you can go back to and get new views of the bands months or years after the initial read. It's a good job, well written and an easy read, not at all full of superflous language and unnecissary jargon. It proves they are a band of thier word, just average kids from SoCal, with nothing more in mind than making great music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who knew you could "read" a concert experience?, December 23, 2004
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
Linkin Park is best experienced live. Greg Watermann's brilliant, frenzied, insightful images bring that live experience to the reader in a way I never thought the printed medium could deliver. Combined with the candid commentary by the band members, this masterful visual tribute is a must for music, concert, biography and art lovers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, December 21, 2004
This review is from: From the Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora (Hardcover)
Wow, this book is not only beautifully photographed, but the stories and quotes that the guys of the band have to tell are wonderful in getting a true inside look at the hottest band in the nation (and world!) today. It really goes beyond the everyday image you get from magazines and TV interviews, revealing the inner personalities of each person and you even discover that Linkin Park is not just a bunch of musicians, but they are truly artists. If you haven't picked up this book yet, I can highly recommend that you do because before you know it, this book will be sold out!
