5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Insightful, March 6, 2002

This review is from: Inside the Minds: The Seminconductor Industry- Industry Leaders Share Their Knowledge on the Future of the Semiconductor Revolution (Paperback)
I thought this one of the top 3 books I have ever read on the semiconductor industry. For once, it was very interesting to hear what the actual leaders in industry felt. I would highly recommend this title to both experts and novices in the semiconductor industry-or anyone interested in semiconductors in general....

2.0 out of 5 stars boring, innocuous, July 26, 2006
This review is from: Inside the Minds: The Seminconductor Industry- Industry Leaders Share Their Knowledge on the Future of the Semiconductor Revolution (Paperback)
Minimally interesting. Most of the CEOs seem to be just spouting innocuous platitudes. Usually about how well their company is doing, etc etc. Reading this book is like sitting through a set of boring speeches at some political gathering. Like Khandros' "Building a Winning Company for the Long Haul". The information content in that was very minimal.

Far more interesting would have been some no holds barred analysis of a CEO's company relative to its competitors. Or perhaps a reasonably serious look at technology trends in that company's scope.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm could have been better!, February 2, 2007

This review is from: Inside the Minds: The Seminconductor Industry- Industry Leaders Share Their Knowledge on the Future of the Semiconductor Revolution (Paperback)
This is a good read if you want to know what CEO's of semiconductor companies think. You need to have a basic understanding of the semiconductor industry to read this.

The book is organized into several essays and each essay has some overlaps in content as different authors have to tried to explain the semiconductor industry from a macro level. They all talk about the same issues. It get's boring towards the end as you feel that the content is repeated over and over again.

Good read if you are waiting to catching a flight or waiting to break up with your date!
