Doug Bierer has given his all to spread the gospel; that NetWare Director y Services allows for a logical and centrally managed intranet to exist without complicated security schemes.Throughout this book, you will learn why NetWare is the easiest NOS platform to setup and administer (especially when it comes t o security). Learn what separtes NetWare 4.x from previous versions of NetWare, and why this doesn't mean you have to upgrade all your pre-4.x machines to take advantage of NetWare Directory Services. In short, the strength of this book i s examples. You will value the time Mr. Bierer has given up to lead you by the hand. In 1286 pages, he doesn't just tell you what he knows, he shows you. Th at is the true test of what makes a great book for a first timer or guru. Don't get caught without the knowledge you need. Set up your heterogeneous network t oday!

While this book is voluminous, it is poorly organized. When you do find the info you are looking for the descriptions are murky at best. Don't waste your money,
