5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic picture book of Washington D.C.
My son is 5 and has become very interested in the buildings of Washington D.C. I had a hard time finding a book that had a lot of pictures without all the verbage. This book is the best that I have found! Delightful pictures will hold the interest of the very young. Recommended for the pre-book-report set!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not too complete
While this book was a good idea for youngsters, it left out a number of important places in D.C., so wasn't as useful as I had hoped in helping my little one get ready or remember our trip.

4.0 out of 5 stars inspirational illustrations, August 28, 2011
This review is from: The Inside-Outside Book of Washington DC (Paperback)
We've taken the children to Washington, DC once, and we plan to take them again next summer. This picture book is a wonderful look at the architecture of DC's monuments and buildings, as well as an inside look at what happens inside.

Includes the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court building, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the OAS (who cares?), the National Air and Space Museum (sit inside the cockpit!), the White House East Room for a press conference, the Washington Post printing press, RFK Memorial Stradium (who cares?), The US Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial. The structures are well-illustrated and well described.
