I would not be so quick to rave about the book without some critical thought that appears to be lacking by other so called 'reviewers'.I read the book a number of years ago, and like them, loved it until I got to the part when Mr Adamski claims to be taken for a ride in one of the spaceships to the moon - a trip which apparently took a number of minutes as I recall...

Over the years I have met people who met Mr. Adamski and knew him well. He was respected and well like by many. His photos and books were not fake. I had shown his film and photos to many and had military people tell me that everything George said (and his photographs) were real! He assisted scientists in their work, Nasa, etc., lectured world-wide, and was deeply respected by many world leaders. He received the Golden Medallion of Honor from Pope John XXIII for his work and delivered a sealed message to the Pope before the Pope passed away. I have met former FBI and CIA officers who stated bluntly that it is about time that people know that we have people visiting us for 1,000's of years, peaceful. There are NO GREYS, monsters, and all that stupid fantasy! Only caring PEOPLE, like us, who have really helped us in so many ways including our space program. Think about it, in all our history, in only a few decades we went to the moon, etc.! We are not alone in the Universe and it is about time that those who know this stuff stand up and be counted, for this man took a big beating by those who wanted this info. not to come out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Adamski really talks with Masters in the Universe., March 29, 1999
This review is from: Inside the Spaceships (Paperback)
Mr. Adamski really did contact people from other worlds. He was disheartened by those who did not believe him. He was in the Washington D.C. area when he was supposed to have died and was buried on the same day. I think he just disappeared. I read his book many years ago...the early 1960's and was moved by his vivid description of his talks with the Master. Space travel was a given and he was one of the first to tell his story so well and to publish it. He was a very down to earth man who had some wonderful experiences. His book opened up my mind to all the wonderful possibilities in the universe. It was easy for me to accept that other worlds are populated. I beleive that this world has two camps: 1. those who can see how the unierse can be poplulated and 2. those who cannot believe there are people other than on the earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars general comments, January 29, 2000
This review is from: Inside the Spaceships (Paperback)
I've been re-reading this book many times. I think it's the first real story of contactee. It's given me a big help in my life. Go beyond "there's no life on Venus": think of the messages, their meanings are still good nowadays !

I am a pretty picky book read. When I received this book I immediately started reading. I just couldn't put the book down once I started. I feel if this is NOT true then Mr. Adamski is the best science fiction writer to date. I don't know how he remembered everything but he didn't know how he was going to either. First book that makes sense regarding the why's and how's. I do believe their are some travelers that are already here on our planet with a different interest in mind. I wanted to read this book for a long time but was hesitant about purchasing it for reasons most likely similar to yours but it was well worth the wait and the buy. I for one believe him and the people who witnessed this alongside him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, February 11, 2010

I must give an excellent review for Inside The Spaceships. The book arrived quickly and in excellent condition.
I was deeply touched by the wisdom spoken by the people from other planets. They do not experience the troubles and strife, the violence and the suffering on their planets which is so common on our planet Earth.
Some skeptics will refuse to believe that Adamski met with people from other planets and was welcomed into their spaceships. Skepticism is a good thing but cynicism and closed-mindedness is another story. Yet we all have free will. We can think whatever we like.
There have been many recent sightings of spaceships or "stars" as shown on Youtube or [..]websites. How cool is that?!
When I finished reading Inside The Spaceships, I felt saddened to think of the kind of world we've created in comparison to the life created on other planets. There, people have evolved to a point where suffering, anger, cruelty, violence and war have no place in their lives. Ane they feel love and compassion for us!
From Adamski's words, I could feel the love and goodness of these people who see us as their brothers and sisters. We, here, experience love but to a lesser degree. At some level, we sense and long for a deeper love and a better life which is our birthright.
We have the potential to destroy live on Earth with nuclear power. Or to work together to create a better world. The choice must be made right now, not someday, and the work must be done TODAY and every day. May we choose wisely.
Blessings to all.

George Adamski was a frequent guest on the Long John Neble overnight talk radio show in New York City many years ago. His tales on the radio and in the book are fasinating.

5.0 out of 5 stars ET civilizations, their tech & philoso import... a must read, March 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Inside the Spaceships (Paperback)
As I gaze into the star studded night sky and see the patterns of creation repeated on into infinity and recall the growing number of scientists, theologians and philosophers admitting that Earth is part of this Big Picture and not separate from it... the experiences related by George Adamski are once again - vindicated and substantiated. The Adamski web page refers to the "indications of ET civilizations"... After reading Capt. Ruppelt's Project Blue Book and the Condon Report (designed to put the ET case in its grave) the Adamski contacts make even more logical sense. Considering our place in a planetary neighborhood, the implications and benefits of a peaceful space program also become more obvious as opposed to continuing a war based economy. New ways to harness energy and more advanced/mature methods of thinking and acting are ours for the taking. While theologians and others were burnt at the stake 500 years ago for proclaiming the vastness of the Creator's populated universe, today more people are realizing that we are planetary citizens responsible for our thoughts and actions as they affect ourselves, others and the planet. The messages in this book have been instrumental in helping me expand my vision to these larger vistas. Whether you are a 'professional' or lay person, if any of this rings true to you I'd urge you to read the book. It cuts through the tabloid sensationalism that has created more confusion than sense. If the 'horror' stories and confusion have turned you off, you will enjoy Adamski's straight forward approach to the simple realization that our celestial neighbors - as documented via mythology, archeology, scriptures and modern day air and ground observers - have preceded us in traveling the heavens. Adamski is definitely a re-read! Gaze into the heavens, see the Big Picture and enjoy the realization that we all are "space people" traversing infinity on this orb we call Earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy food for your mind., February 12, 2001
This review is from: Inside the Spaceships (Paperback)
By reading "Inside The Spaceships" in 1993, I can tell you first hand that what's in this book could start you on the road to unravelling many mysteries in regards to the E.T./U.F.O. subject. Personally, it was the best book purchase I have ever made in my life, far surpassing the radical stories that have subjugated the bookstore shelves for the past 35 years.

One comment I see frequently when Adamski's claims are challenged is that when the missions to the moon did not report back buildings, water, and structures on the far side, Mr. Adamski must have been making it all up. If we are kept in the dark about information and developments on our own planet, one can logically think that anything "earth changing" of this magnitude would certainly be kept under wraps for many reasons.

Personal observations of our planet and space with a keen desire to understand the UFO mystery after reading this book is the key to make it all logically come together......It was for me.

If you are thinking about purchasing this book, I personally see you putting your foot on the first step up.

A must read!

This book was mentioned in another book I had recently read, and imagine my surprise when I actually found it here. Good Old Amazon. I know there is much debate on whether this is a true story/account, or if it is all made up, and even some speculation that George Adamski was working with the military, and that this book is purposeful disinformation, or false propaganda, to throw the masses off the scent of what was really going on at the time of this books initial appearance with Roswell. But after reading it, I must say, in hindsight to the time it was written, (1951), most of what he says rings true in todays known, accepted truths in the UFO field. The insights of the aliens that he reports are almost line for line what the Pleaidians, (SP?), have said in the wonderful books by Barbara Marciniak, whose books were written decades later. Their references to the Creator who runs the universe and beyond, and the message of how earth man MUST get on with their evolving beyond ignorance, war, material goods, the ego, and the false sense that we are merely humans, and not the truth of us being merely vessels for the souls inside each of us, and things that pull us farther away from our intended natural state as heavenly beings. Also, some of the details he shares regarding the scout ships, and the mother ships, I don't think could have been "made up", as at that time, no one would have any reference point to merely create these things. It would be easy in todays world to fabricate these details, all of us having been raised on Sci-Fi movies most of our lives, but back then, (1951), Sci-Fi was very innocent, in it's infancy, and did not have the engineering grasp of reality that todays does. So in my opinion, I tend to believe this is true, and it is an AMAZING story, one that gave me hope, and much joy. I HIGHLY recommend this book. The photo's alone are worth the low price at the very least.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond the surface, July 17, 1998
This review is from: Inside the Spaceships (Paperback)
There are many people who state Adamski's case is a fraud. I do know about faked movies. But I also know most of his book's contents is genuine. I've found a true message about life and true values and "science": he does not use precise terms at all, but I think he describes what he sees very well.
