While I didn't care much for the sound track for "Star Trek, The movie", the "Inside Star Trek" CD that's ALSO included with this packaged CD set as an "Extra Addition", is what really in my opinion, makes it WELL worth the purchase price!

I loved this recording when I first heard it back in the 1970's, when I got it as a Vinyl LP as part of my Columbia Records Record Club choice of the month, and I STILL love it!

Since however, it's hard to find Record Players these days, so that one can play an old style Vinyl LP record Album, I was VERY happy to find that the "Inside Star Trek" recording, had been released again, this time, in the newer CD format.

If you are a Star Trek fan, especially of the ST:TOS (Star Trek, The Original Series), this is a definite MUST have!

In it you will find out LOADS of interesting tidbits about the Star Trek Universe, right from "The Great Bird of the Galaxy", Gene Roddenberry's mouth himself!

You will also find out how Spock was conceived, and while he wasn't the first Human/Vulcan conception, he was the first to successfully go from Conception, then to Embryo, and lastly, to viable Baby. Gene as part of this "discussion", also has the Actor who played Spock's Father, reprise his role for this recording.

While in Character, he and Gene discuss how Vulcans "Copulate" as well as how long the normal Vulcan Gestation period is, and how Spock was able to actually become the first successful Human/Vulcan hybrid.

Gene also talks about his battles with the Sensors, and how he combated them, as well as much, much more.

"Inside Star Trek" is a very funny and enlightening CD, and I think all, even Non Trek fans will enjoy it as well.

Not only that, but with ST:ENT (Star Trek, Enterprise), the new show that's on, this CD is loaded with Information that will also help you understand Vulcans even more, and how the Star Trek Universe came to be.
