Not as good as Inside the Taj Mahal ( the first one),
By Ed Warner (eddyboy@mindspring.com) (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inside Taj Mahal 2 (Audio CD)
The first part of this cd is up to the standards of the original Inside but if you are into meditation and relaxation this cd goes into a lot of sound effects that are quite disturbing, like thunder and bells and and a lot of so called nature sounds.

I have been practicing Tai Chi & Qigong for 8 years.
At everyworkshop we play this CD - and only THIS CD. You can't go wrong. Paul Horn has created a unique sound that I have not heard anywhere else. It's my favorite one.

The Taj Mahal's acoustics at it's best,
By MichaelS "MichaelS" (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inside Taj Mahal 2 (Audio CD)
The first recording "Inside" was recorded in 1968 using analog equipment. This was recorded in 1989 using more state of the art digital equipment. The Taj Mahal is 211 feet inside from the floor to the top of the dome and is constructed of solid marble. The effect is like a vast echo chamber. Groups of notes would suspend in this space and come back as a chord. This album captures the natural acoustics of the Taj Mahal very nicely.
