Most detailed look at the 1904 Fair, that I have read.,

This review is from: Inside the World's Fair of 1904: Exploring the Louisiana Purchase Exposition Vol. 1 (Paperback)
After coming to St.Louis in 1996, I grew interested in the fair that apparently transformed the city. I have been collecting all the books that I can read on the fair. Of all those, this book (comes in two volumes) probably has the largest number of pictures and narrations. Each building at the fair (and the displays) is explained in detail. Before I read this book, I had never imagined there were so many pictures of the fair.

I was so delighted to get to read these volumes of the World's Fair by Elana Fox. The history and stories are will delight any reader. Many pictures to go along with a visual history of the World's Fair. Elana Fox is stellar in her approach to such an event in History. A must get for any collection!

so so at best,
This review is from: Inside the World's Fair of 1904: Exploring the Louisiana Purchase Exposition Vol. 1 (Paperback)
Though there are plenty of images, they are bad in quality, very grainy- even hard to see. I was disappointed I bought this.... though the information is quite good. A mixed bag.
