Outstanding melodic rock,

Danny Vaughn is once again showcasing his great vocal presence on this CD. Although having a different sort of vibe than the Tyketto or Vaughn materials, this is still well written material with memorable catchy hooks. No filler songs on this album, each one is unique and memorable in its own right, with songs 1,2,5,6,and 8 being my 5 personal favorites. My only semi-complaint is that at times Vaughn's vocals seem almost drowned out with not enough room to breathe because of the incredibly "busy" guitar and bass lines in some of the tunes. Overall a definite 5-star release and must have for any melodic rock fan.

Once you get this CD in your player, you will leave it there for a while!!!
Every song on the album is good, Danny Vaughn has great vocal skills it will keep you hooked throughout the whole CD! There is even a interview and a clip of Nothing at all on this cd! For me this is the best melodic rock album of the year. I heard the boys of Tyketto are thinking about making a new album!!! Maybe in 2005 who knows For now buy this album and you won't be disappointed, trust me!

You really have to hand it to the Frontiers record label. Not only are they home to the best of the best AOR/melodic rock bands, but they also help set up these great "project" albums for established vocalists. They got it right with Starbreaker (pairing ex-TNT vocalist Tony Harnell with guitarist Magnus Karlsson), and Place Vendome (pairing ex-Helloween singer Michael Kiske with Pink Cream 69's Dennis Ward), and totally struck gold with From the Inside.
From the Inside features the considerable vocal talents of Tyketto frontman Danny Vaughn, who has one of the warmest, most powerful and most memorable voices in the genre. Vaughn and a handful of outside songwriters crafted an excellent group of songs that make the most of Vaughn's vocal style. Naturally that means a bunch of love songs, but the album still packs plenty of punch. The music is obviously inspired by the classic Journey/Foreigner AOR sound, but has a modern sound and production. Tyketto fans ought to love this one, as it is way more similar to the classic Tyketto sound than most of Vaughn's solo albums. From the Inside is an absolutely flawless melodic rock album. The songs are extremely well-written, the musicianship is tight, and the vocals...well, this just may be Danny Vaughn's greatest vocal performance to date. These songs can absolutely take your breath away. Highlights include the soaring "Suddenly" (co-written by Desmond Child) and the emotional "Losing Game," but honestly, every song on this album is first-rate, and would make a terrific single. Call this one a must-have for all Danny Vaughn/Tyketto fans, and in fact a must-have for anyone that is into AOR/melodic rock. I honestly can't see From the Inside disappointing anyone who loves this kind of music. Fortunately, Vaughn and company decided not to make this a one-time thing. From the Inside returned in 2008 with Visions, which is also well worth checking out.
