My first reaction when I received this book was..."I paid [money] for this?" At first, I was thinking I got ripped off. However, since I spent the money, I figured I might as well go through the workshop and see what happens.

At first, I was apprehensive about buying it because, I tried the "Parachute" and "Dummy" books, and neither of them gave me the answers and guidance that I needed or wanted. I wasn't sure if buying another book was the answer. But, a friend told me about this workshop so I decided to try it.

While I was reading "10 Insider Secrets(TM) Career Transition Workshop" and doing the exercises, I was shocked at how much I learned about myself. I totally changed my career direction as a result of this workshop. I never realized certain things about myself until I answered the introspective questions that were asked.

It took me about 3 hours to complete. I went to the library and answered every question thoroughly, just like the book said, as if I was sitting across the desk from a career coach costing me thousands of dollars.

This self-paced workshop did a great job in helping me first identify the job I really wanted and then it assisted me in creating a plan on how to obtain it.

In the end, I discovered that in some respects I was totally focused on the wrong things and in other respects, I wasn't focused at all. Thanks to this workshop I am now focused in the right direction and psyched about my future. I would recommend "10 Insider Secrets(TM) Career Transition Workshop" to anyone who is unhappy in their current job or anyone who is out of work and wants to find a job they can be excited about.

This book is a terrible waste of a tremendous amount of money. Halfway through you are asked to make a list of jobs you could do, then pick the ones you like. Hasn't everybody thought of this? If I had any idea as to what kind of careers were available to someone such as myself I wouldn't need a book like this at all. Not only do I wish I had my money back, I'd also like my time back too.

For months, I had been struggling with being laid off and trying to figure out how to re-start my career after being with the same company for over 20 years.

This book was just the medicine I needed. Bermont does a good job of asking thought provoking and insightful questions that make you really think about the situation you are in and the best means to re-capture career satisfaction.

If you want a Myers-Brigg study or a book that tells you your ideal career then this book is not for you. However, if you want a book that will make you dig deep into your passions, interests, and expertise to discover what you really want to do for a living, then I highly recommend this book!
