Poor Choice as a Pocketguide,
By Luddwigg (Bolton, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Insiders' Guide: San Antonio in Your Pocket: Your Guide to an Hour, a Day, or a Weekend in the City (Insiders' Guide Series) (Hardcover)
Wanted a book I could carry around the "Venice of Texas" during my one day visit to San Antonio.
Plus One: It's pocket sized and easy to carry around. Plus Two: Easy Fold out maps to a usable size. Mission Trail map was good. Negative One: Fold out Maps - Supposed to be the Venice of Texas - Where's the canals? I can't find them on these maps. Water is usually blue - where's the blue? How do I get around Riverwalk? How about including the Trolley lines on the maps? Negative Two: Attractions. Poorly organized and minimal after 62 pages of filler. Why do I need instructions on getting to San Antonio - Maybe I'm walking there? Accomodations - I walking to those? |
