THE INSIDER'S GUIDE TO CALIFORNIA'S WINE COUNTRY, 8TH: A GUIDE TO NAPA AND SONOMA COUNTIES is a great book about an area noted for its wine, but teetotalers can also enjoy it, because it features a great deal about recreation, dining, nightlife, shopping, and outdoor activities as well. There are also great sections on relocation and radio stations as well, though the latter change formats regularly. This book is a must-own for anyone interested in the West at all.

I just skimmed this book ahead of time, and flagged pages of the places we wanted to visit. Used this book a lot while visiting Napa and Sonoma. I found this book very helpful, and was very glad that I had it ahead of time and during my stay in Napa. A visit to Napa can be overwhelming because there are so many places to visit and so many great restaurants. This book helps to identify the places I wanted to visit since there were so many places and so little time. I would highly recommend this book!
