2.0 out of 5 stars not useful, April 21, 2010
By
arzewski (pittsburgh, pa United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Insiders' Guide to Cincinnati, 8th (Insiders' Guide Series) (Paperback)
Had this book while looking for things to do in the Cincinnati region. The book is actually a compiled list of venues that is typically found in tourist offices. The biggest shortcoming of this book is that it lacks a story about the city, its demographic, its life. It was easier to just drive around the city, find a cool looking cafe, stopping in, and finding information on a community bulletin board or from a local weekly community-oriented newspaper, and asking the coffee-goers on the whereabouts of cool things to check out and do.

This is thorough, but without maps and pictures it was exrremely disappointing. It is no Fodor's or Lonely Planet. I cannot recommend.
