From School Library Journal
YA The author, a former model and photographer, covers the basics of breaking into this field. Modeling agencies, magazine editors and professional photographers are quoted here. Perkins gives good solid advice, but without enough detail. For instance, he states that beginners should check out the qualifications of modeling schools, but he does not state what exactly to look for. The black-and-white photographs of models are poorly reproduced, and many are dark and indistinct; there are also a few typographical and grammatical errors. Even with these faults, the book is an enthusiastic, accurate portrait of the modeling world that presents helpful information to those interested in pursuing this career.
