From the Back Cover

For more than twenty years, the Insiders’ Guide® series has been the essential source for in-depth travel and relocation information—from true insiders whose personal, practical perspective gives you everything you need to know.

Home to the world famous River Walk and numerous early eighteenth-century missions, San Antonio boasts a rich cultural heritage. But there’s more to the River City than the historic Alamo and La Villita: The Texas Air Museum, the rodeo, and the Longhorn Cavern are all nearby. This authoritative guide shows you how to navigate the numerous sights and activities of the Cradle of Texas Liberty.

Inside you'll find:

•  Countless details on how to live and thrive in the area, from the best shopping to the lowdown on real
    estate and schools

•  The inside scoop on popular attractions such as Mission San José and HemisFair Park, as well as
where to get a real cowboy breakfast

•  Comprehensive listings of restaurants, lodging,  special events, and outdoor recreation opportunities

•  Sections dedicated to children and retirement

More About the Author

I've been so lucky through the years to write about the topics I enjoy: travel, food, and, now, dogs. Along with my husband, John Bigley, I've written over 30 books on travel and, most lately, dogs. In 2008, the same year we adopted two young dogs, we started DogTipper.com to help dog lovers in all aspects of their life with Fido. Now I'm using my academic background in Economics and years of business travel writing in my new role as America's Pet Economist™. I enjoy writing about ways to save on your dog's care and, at the same time, enrich your best buddy's life!
