Insight by Jamie Magee was an interesting read. The creative fantasy tale focuses on power, family, true love and extreme trust. The journey begins with Willow, a teenage girl, suffering from nightmares who learns the truth about who she truly is. As long as she can remember she has suffered from dreams where she is frightened awake never clearly seeing the person's face that terrorizes her. However, she does hold onto the image of a very handsome man that appears in her dreams as well.

After one of her agonizing nightmares, Willow's parents inform her of her true existence and the mystical powers that lie within. It is then that she realizes that she is more than a teenage girl and her dreams,too, may also be real. What I like the most about the story is the depths that the characters go to find, love and protect each other. Once they meet, I envy the peace that overcomes them. The love they share with their families and soulmates is the very foundation of their existence.

After being informed of her abilities, Willow also finds that she has a soul mate who has searched a life time to find her. Before they can truly be together their love is interrupted by a sinister force similar to the visions in her nightmares. It is then that Willow, who has found peace, must fight the force to reclaim the love she has just found.

I highly recommend this fantasy book to young adults. It is a book that holds your interests from the first page to the last. The journey and triumphs that ensue are a tribute to the author's superb storytelling ability as each character, scene and battle comes to life. I only give the book four stars due to the editorial issues I found along the way. The story comes through vividly despite the errors but there are enough to make them noticeable and sometimes distracting.

Insight was an amazing read. If you like the Zodiac and the mystical you will love this book. It has a good story line that keeps you interested from the fist chapter to the very last. It will leave you wanting to find out what happens to your favorite charters. It is a must read for any young adult.

Combining such diverse elements into a holistic whole is no easy task, but Magee pulls off the feat in impressive fashion, most notably through solid character development, realistic dialogue, and a strong central plotline with more than its fair share of surprising twists and turns.

A solid debut from a promising new literary talent, Insight is sure to become a favorite of true fans of fantasy fiction. An engaging read.

were easily visualized. This is a wonderful begining to
what I hope is a continued journey for Willow and Landen.

I finished this book and I just feel kind of annoyed. Since I am assuming that you are reading this review as a prospective buyer I will cut to the chase and not list all my issues with the book. I will instead just say, the girl in the book meets soul mate. they are in love, they are kissing, they love each other, they are kissing, she can see into his soul through his eyes, they are in love. everyone in their universe loves each other, they are all besties, they support each other (never mind that everyone's been keeping secrets, no biggie) they loooove love. yes there is more to the book, there is a bad guy and all that jazz, but despite all that was going on, the only thing i thought was. omg seriously? give me something to not hate this couple for being that annoying couple who is all over each and cannot bear to be apart. (which literally, they cannot be apart)

some people may love it. i even thought the story was decent. it was just sooo gooey that I could not get into it or like the main characters. write a sequel with the bad guy becoming more present or sympathetic, or one that has the girl becoming somewhat independent, and i may even be curious enough to read it.

also, how the author describes strings or cross-universe travel in the beginning is a little tricky to navigate. could probably be described easier. for example, a string is a portal and you can walk along the portal to pick your destination.

This book was beautifully written. I would say this book is part YA Paranormal Romance and part Sci-Fi. It is a page turner and the plot was developed really well. The characters are also very likable. Any questions you may have are answered within the book in a logical way. What a promising start to the series. It is definitely worth more than what i paid for the book. Well done to the author.

Jamie Magee's imagination will suck you right in. Insight involves astrology, other dimensions, past lives, fate, dangerous encounters, and most of all love. I didn't want to put the book down and when I did I couldn't stop thinking about it.

All the characters are easy to follow and connect with. The dialogue of the story makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of it. The message that I got out of reading this is that your destiny may be written out for you but you have the power to change it.

If you are looking for something new to read than I definitely recommend Insight.

I will leave you with my new saying " I live in Infante. I want to live in Chara, but I truly belong in Neime." If you want to find out what I am talking about then read this great book. You will not regret it!!

Insight is like a breath of fresh air- it will leave you feeling refreshed and giddy at the same time. Once I started reading I could not bring myself to part with the book. Jamie Magee has taken the concept of soulmates and weaved a truly captivating story. The book is both profound and light at the same time. Magee has a way with making the words in the book seem so real, so real that I am almost led to believe that Willow and Landen do exist and if I just chose to open my eyes to see the "strings" I can lead myself to Chara. A truly amazing read!

Willow was an ordinary girl. School, friends, art, family. Living with her mom, dad, and little sister. She's never really dated, never really being interested in guys, not that she doesn't like them all together just none of them ever seem like the right guy. But one evening Willow learns that not everything is what she thought it was for the last several years. She finds out that she's not even from this dimension. How is this possible? Just what/who is she? Everything begins to change with this stunning revelation. Willow finds out that her nightmares are more than just bad dreams, and a world that she never knew begins to evolve around her.

This book was a surprise. It wasn't that I thought it would be bad, on the contrary I really was very neutral about it. Because I'd never read anything by Jamie Magee I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing story that lay in between the covers of Insight.

I adored the different pathways she took to tell a love story that spanned a great time. I loved the way that she put astrology in there, and showed so many things I never thought of. I'm eager to find my own birth chart now!! Willow is a grounded character, and Landen is a strong male lead that doesn't overpower his female companion. The book is ripe with love and it fills every page and chapter.

The only thing I felt was missing was a more darker presence. Sometimes the book felt a little sickly sweet to me, and I wished that Drake had gotten to play a bigger role. Otherwise, the book was a fantastic read and something I would gladly reccomend as well as read again.

I cannot wait for Embody, the sequel.

magical world that is rife with mystery,danger,adventure,action,true love,finding your soul mate,and good vs evil. This is an enduring love story for young adults ages from 15 +.It is a delightful tender love story of two different people with magical powers from an alternative diminsion,who are soul mates.It is also about the Zodiac,past lives and secrets.It is past paced and action paced.Although,it has an alternative diminsion it is so like as own world and problems.
