This review is from: Insights Into the Bhagavad-Gita (Hardcover)
First of all, I'm not qualified to review anything Vimala has said or written: she has consciously penetrated much deeper into Reality than I have.
But since I was given the opportunity, I'd like to say a few words to express my deep appreciation for the presence of this wonderful being, and to encourage anyone sincerely interested in self-understanding to read the words from any of her books. In a nutshell, I've not read anything deeper or more comprehensive regarding my experience of reality, and I say that after reading hundreds of books by dozens of loved and respected teachers in the field of spirituality/psychology, from every ancient tradition and neo tradition. With a humility and power that is very rare, Vimala acknowledges, deepens, and challenges our inborn relationship with Love, Beauty, Truth, God.
The books of Vimala that I've read are actually transcriptions of her talks. This particular book is the most comprehensive I can remember, in terms of breadth and depth, and clarification of and instruction in meditation. Since I've not yet read the Gita, I can't comment on this book as a work of scholarship, but it does stand on its own as a profound guide to full and sacred living ( I did order two different versions of the Gita and look forward to studying them).
Thank you for your sacred quest.
