Alan Robbins is an award-winning writer, graphic artist, and educator.
He is the author of 20 mystery, puzzle, and humor books and his essays on the lighter side of technology have appeared in The New York Times and Newsweek magazine. His books have won Writer's Notes and Reader Views Award for fiction.
Mr. Robbins is a nationally known designer of games and puzzles for Games magazine and many publishers, including 30 mystery jigsaw puzzles, a unique combination of mystery story and jigsaw game, that have more than a million fans nationwide.
As a graphic artist, his designs, cartoons, and illustrations have appeared in numerous magazines, books, and publications.
His YouTube channel of entertaining videos has over 3.5 million hits so far.
Mr. Robbins is currently a Professor of Visual Communications at Kean University in New Jersey. He was the Janet Estabrook Rogers Professor of Visual and Performing Arts from 2006-2009 and the founding director of The Design Center. His innovative work with students over the years has been featured in The Newark Star-Ledger, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and The New York Times, and many local papers.
