I have been using Inspector Geiger counters since many years, and it is an excellent instrument. The large pan-cake detector makes it usable for detecting alpha radiation (and so Radon). The possibility to define a time interval for summing is good, and the instrument is relatively easy to use. Changing the units (for instance from uRoe to uSv) is a bit awkward, and it is in these situations that the user interface shows its age.
Another point of complaint is the extraordinary high price of 99.- US$ for the software (and simple cable) if one wants to store and monitor radioactivity on a computer. I think this should be included and not be sold as a separate costly item.
As a physicist, I have used many hand-held Geiger counter: the Inspector is in my opinion the best.

Easy to use for what I want it for I wrote down the numbers around the house and checked some Japan items I purchased to make sure they was safe(they were), and looks like a well made item to me, One thing I need to say about any battery item and a good sugestion to make is always take the battery out of line and if need be you can turn it around and leave it stored in the battery compartment for safe keeping just take it loose so it wont corrode the leads.. It down loads well with the hardware from the factory that comes with it,, all you'll need is a battery and you ready to make test,. Keep it dry and keep it vlean aand don't drop it, and always keep it stored in the included case that comes with it;)

Yes, it is easy to operate and does what I expected. Need more time to understand all the readings and interpret them.
