With all the scandal in the church it's easy to forget that the few priests found guilty are NOT the majority! This book reminds you that the church has so many dedicated wonderful priests that are working for the Lord and Our Lady and doing HIS will! Just a wonderful inspiring book of wonderful dedicated priests! Be not afraid! should be the secondary title as Pope John Paul II has led the way and these wonderful priests have followed...

I enjoy nonfiction. To be able to read inspiring real stories, one after the next, is a thrill to me. This book speaks to the power and glory of the Catholic Church, it's clergy, religious, and lay people. God Bless Sr. Patricia for putting these wonderful pieces together in one fantastic book! This book is a sequel to two others, 101 Inspirational Stories of the Rosary, and 201 Inspirational Stories of the Eucharist, by Sr. Pat that are equally as great. I encourage viewers to read them all. Mine are all a permanent part of our parish library.

"101 Inspirational Stories of the Priesthood" goes beyond the average simple collection of personal human interest tales to delve into the heart of the spirit of the priesthood. There is so much goodness in these stories that it brings hope to readers that God still works wonders in our world and His love still lives on in the actions of our priests. It also brings a smile to the face and a bright light to the heart. Well worth reading.

I'm prejudiced, I suppose, because my own story is in the book. It was a priest who came to the hospital where I was dying who did what he could and brought me to life. But my story is not about dying, the priest about whom I wrote came jubilantly to our little family farm to bless it. If you should read THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS, you'll learn that any field that is prayed over will yield a hundred-fold harvest greater than a field that is not. We need our priests, even though we don't know it, yet.

acts of love and encouragement.

It's long overdue, this book of tributes to the quiet, humble and unsung heros God has called to the Catholic priesthood. God knew what He was doing when He chose these men, sometimes surprising them in the process. One hundred and one stories that affirm what most of our priests truly are, another Christ. Pick any story, and the love of the Lord for His people shines through each of these 101 priests. A book of sheer joy.

Well written and edited descriptions of encounters with priests that has helped open eyes and minds and hearts to the readers. Articles are brief and descriptive and appeal to the reader. Each little story is a book in itself and makes it hard to put the book down. You read of one story and right away want to go to the next one. Thank you, Sr. Pat Proctor, for a well done work.

I gave the book to a deacon at our church. After he read it he really gave me a glowing "thank you" in appreciation! It is such a hard time for our priests and deacons now -- they need to know how very much they are needed and appreciated!

Tired of the scandal involving the Roman Catholic priesthood? Believe that no one group of people can be all bad, evil, immoral? Understand that great and life-changing good is being done the world over by dedicated and holy men whose sacred office is to God and their parishioners. Then, this is the book for you!

This is an excellent "everyday" book full of "everyday" stories written by people who have witnessed and benefited from the love, dedication and total altruism of men whose vows are their whole life. Their love of God and their fellow man shines through in a way we can only hope to emulate in our own lives.
