I think that this product is a blessing to those that are really trying to take in as much word as possible-- With the limited time we have today, it is about time that someone put the Bible into an ingestible format that is not BORING and TORTURESOME. The voices and sound effects really bring the word to life in a new and vibrant way! I recieved my box yesterday and immediately popped in the first CD! It was like a drink of water on a steaming hot day! I highly reccommend this product to those that cant sit down and read as much as they would like-- or for those who actually retain scripture better by hearing it... "faith comes by hearing....". Be blessed! The sound quality is exceptional.. and the actors are superb!

I love both box sets because, when I read the Bible or just listen to a plain cd I get sleepy or bored, but when I listen to The Bible experience, it's awesome, because actors betray the parts in the Bible and briong it to life!!!! I would suggest these to everyone who thirsts to hear the Bible, but has trouble reading it.

To me the OT was always hard to read.. but hearing the words spoken with expression and voice changes has opened up my mind...
I wish I could get this for everyone I know!

Go out and buy it. When you hear it you will love it, is all I can say.
It's the best dramatization on the market. I wish they had used the same Old Testament voice of God for the New Testament voice of God. Samuel Jackson was just not a good choice for God featured on the New Testament on this CD in my opinion, Blair Underwood was simply awesome as Jesus. He really got it right.
I was really disappointed that Samuel L. Jackson's voice was used for the New Testament voice of God. His voice was just not credible for the role of God in the New Testament. I kept thinking about his role as the crack addict in Jungle Fever and that other silly Pulp Fiction movie. I also could have done without the contemporary Christian songs that unexpectedly popped up between Scriptures in the New Testament. Everything else was so good that I can over look the other parts that I didn't care for.

The realness, passion and energy in these voices were so much better than the other New Testament bible on CD called The Promise but I still bought both. I purchased The Promise because I love the New King James Version and the Bible Experience for its modern translation. The Promise is good but the Bible Experience is great. You will get more than your moneys worth if you buy The Bible Experience. It will not disappoint. Denzel Washington's voice was just perfect for the Song of Solomon along with his wife Paulette's voice that responded. That was a brilliant choice. I would like to find out more about who played the voice of God in the Old Testament. His name is Paul Adefarasin. I heard he is a Pastor. He is obviously an anointed and Spirit-filled man of God to portray the voice of God so passionately and not be a Hollywood Actor. I want to check out his sermons to find out more.
Thank you Producers for using his voice for the voice of God in the Old Testament. This was the Lord's doing to make such a wonderful Bible on CD and pick actors that put their all into their speaking parts, this was simply awesome. For those of you not wanting to buy this because the voices are Hollywood Actors, just remember that God used a donkey to speak for Him in the Old Testament so He can also use Hollywood movie stars. Just buy it!

My husband and I absolutely love this! We've always tried to be faithful Bible readers and what a help this has been to us! We normally read along in our Bible while listening, and it helps to focus in on the words so much better. It has truly made the Bible "come alive" for us even after many years of studying the Bible. We have been recommending this for anyone, and especially those people who may have a hard time reading the Bible on their own, while traveling, etc. We now have both the Old and New Testaments and love them both and use them daily!

CAN THIS BE BEATEN. I THINK NOT. IT'S ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AUDIO BIBLE AROUND AND ONCE STARTED YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT IT DOWN. A MUST FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

The Bible Experience: Old Testament (Inspired By)

I have eagerly been awaiting the release of this product since my purchase of the new testament last year and once again this product has exceeded my expectations. I recommend this product to all who want to know Gods works via the Bible.

I have an old taped set of the Bible (Old & New Testament) which has now come to its end (and it cannot play over and over the way a cd Player does). My husband and I were therefore on the lookout for the Bible on CD.

Eventually we found 'The Bible Experience - New Testament' in a bookshop in our area and we immediately purchased it. We found it so uplifting and excellently done, we decided to purchase 'The Bible Experience - Old testament' from Amazon.com.

We now play the 'The Bible Experience' CD's 24/7/365 on our CD player in our bedroom in order to renew our minds to the Wisdom of the Word of God. Since doing so, we find that it is so much easier to recall verses from the Word of God, even if we don't have the exact chapter and verse reference.

We highly recommend 'The Bible Experience' to anyone who truly loves the Word of God and wants to get to know it better.

The Bible Experience is very enjoyable to listen to, but more than that you will learn so much more by listening! This product is excellent, and it arrives packaged beautifully. Amazon has the BEST price for it, and ships it out to you quickly! Treat yourself! ..MLEE
