4.0 out of 5 stars Does the trick. Expensive.
Our son was rolling over and planting his face against his old padded bumper. This bothered us for breathing reasons, but without the bumper he would push his arms and legs outside the crib, get stuck, and cry.

This resolved both issues. He places his face against the hard material, but can still breathe. The wedge shape also keeps his arms and legs in...

3.0 out of 5 stars not the best, but better than some
Nice alternative to normal padded bumpers. although I think the breathable bumper is still the best. Couple of complaints--it's super expensive, it takes forever to put the covers on the foam and doesn't stay on very well. Also, it only attaches to the crib in a few places so my daughter was able to move it around some (not as stationary as others). As a result, she...

The only reason I did not give this four stars is due to the price. There is no way this should cost $60 (maybe $30) but in my opinion this is way overpriced. There doesn't seem to be an alternative we could find, so hopefully another company will enter this market to make the price reasonable for others.

Also, it only attaches to the crib in a few places so my daughter was able to move it around some (not as stationary as others). 4.0 out of 5 stars At first I was skeptical, but it works and I like it., October 5, 2008
When the box came I opened it to find two fabric pieces, and many small segments of foam. The directions say to wash the cover for the best fit. I thought that this might be a bogus suggestion (you usually can't return a product once it has been washed). So, I took a chance. It doesn't prevent my son from sticking his feet though the bars, but that is really not a problem while he is asleep.

I love that I can see my son from across the room without having to walk over to the crib. Changing sheets is also easier than with a traditional bumper.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lavish Binky Catcher, February 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I hate to say it because I really prayed that this would be the be all end all solution but it sadly is not. An expensive binky catcher, yes but little more. I suppose the younger the baby the better this product is suited. My son is six and a half months old, this did not contain his arms or legs and certainly did not prevent him from bumping his head on the crib rails, (the whole reason I purchased this). I laid him in his crib as I installed the product and arms and legs were protruding the boundries as I was finishing installation! The foam at its highest point is only about 2 inches, not enough to protect baby's head. Sorry.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pacifier Catcher and That's About It, February 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Purchased this in hopes of having a "cutting-edge" option that would prevent my son from jamming his arms & legs through the crib while not having to worry about SIDS. The only thing I think this product is good for is a "pacifier catcher"...which I probably should have known by looking at the large pacifier on the packaging. We set it up...and in less than 15 seconds my son kicked his foot through the crib slats. Item packed and returned...thanks Amazon for the seamless return policy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bumper pads....but pricey!!, April 16, 2010
My husband had a daughter that died from SIDS, so I did tons of research and reading before deciding to go with these bumpers vs. the traditional bumpers which may pose a suffocation/rebreathing hazard. I love this crib bumper because it allows me to see/check on my child during the night (his crib is next to our bed)without having to stand over the crib to check, the firm triangle-shaped wedge doesn't cover his breathing, it is super easy to just take out when you change the crib sheet, the foam is odorless/CFC-free, the slipcovers are organic cotton and completely washable, AND his binky no longer falls out onto the floor during the night! It also keeps my son from bumping his head into the wooden slats. It is pretty easy to put together...all it involves is slipping the foam pieces into the covers the correct way. I love the simplicity, functionality, and innovative design of this crib bumper.

The thing I don't like about this crib bumper is the price! For some foam pieces and fabric, it's a little pricey but you might be able to find them on sale as I did. I would still absolutely recommend this product to others and still give it five stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, September 16, 2009
Its just enough bumper to stop little ones head from hitting the crib, but too small for them to use to climb out. Perfect for active babies. Fits pretty snug around the crib to help prevent missing pacis. Overall its what I was looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT for a baby who is a very active sleeper!, June 23, 2009
I have infant quadruplets, and after we stopped swaddling them, one of them was such an active sleeper that my husband and I would be awakened several times a night by a piercing SCREAM when she hit her head on the crib rails.

I investigated standard crib bumpers but was concerned about the suffocation risk (especially since this baby *just* learned to roll onto her tummy and was still not good at turning herself back over). I was just about to purchase a breathable bumper (despite the fact that the reviews said it was not very padded) when ... voila! I came across this product.

I love the Cozy Wedge because my baby can push herself into the bumper and still have space to breathe (the firm foam doesn't allow her to bury her nose in it), and she can roll all the way to the edge of the crib without the risk of bumping her head.

The product was easy to assemble and install, and I am going to buy three more for my other babies!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great invention, December 26, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This bumper does not keep your child from putting his/her legs or arms outside of the crib. It does keep your child from getting stuck when they do it. My son can not get under it either! With traditional bumpers he was going over or under them to get at the bars and getting stuck every day. Not anymore!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great alternative to the traditional crib bumper, July 23, 2008
Yes this product IS a bit on the expensive side considering you're only paying for some cloth and foam, but I absolutely love it compared to the traditional type of crib bumpers and am glad we got it.

What I love most is being able to see my daughter laying in her crib the moment I look in the room, and not having to walk up to her crib to be able to see her. Also it allows her to see out of the crib better and to see me near her, much easier than the taller fabric crib bumpers.
