So much of the world tells us what we can't do and what we won't be, but that doesn't mean that has to be the case. In THE INSPIRED LIFE Susyn Reeve reminds us that our lives is just that: ours to live and to make the most of.

Throughout the book the author gives not only instances from her own life and journey but those of others as well who have learned what it means to live the life intended for them, and how all of us can do the same. There are also amazing quotes sprinkled throughout that give us motivation to get started today to make the changes we want to see in ourselves and the world. "If you want to get from point A to point B," one of the quotes says, "you cannnot avoid starting where you are." The message of that quote allows us to see that some things can't be avoided, especially if we hope to move forward. To help the reader, there are spaces in the book to identify the areas that are a "work in progress" for you, and identify what it will take in order to get where we want to go.

It all begins with this question: "What is my vision of an inspired life?" What is it we want that we don't have. Only by answering that question can be get to the heart of what it will take to make it happen. This means action. We have to move forward and then work in line with our vision to make it a reality.

The great thing that THE INSPIRED LIFE reminds us of is that we are not on this journey by ourselves. There are others out there who want us to be the best we can be and are willing to give us the encouragement it takes to get there.

THE INSPIRED LIFE gives you the catalyst to realize that the alternative of being inspired is really not what we want. There's nothing worse than being confined to a life that has no purpose. No one should be happy with that. Let's all move forward on the journey to the life intended for us, realizing that there is nothing better than bringing your best to each and every day.

I recently gave Joan and Susyn's book to friends as presents. One friend, battling cancer, read it and reported afterwards that it was so hopeful for her and so uplifting at a time when she really needed it. She found comfort and solace in the pages of "that magical book". Another friend, going through some intense mid life issues of loss and financial worry, read the book almost in one sitting and now has a richer appreciation of the things IN her life and does not concentrate as much on the things she does not have--all because of the wisdom in Joans and Susyns book taught her how she, not others, are in charge of her life. I can highly recommend this gem to anyone as the teachings and real life stories in the book will surely resonate with all readers who seek inner wisdom and the tools to get there.

This is a great book for people who are wondering what's wrong in their lives but just can't put their finger on what's wrong. It will help you assess your life and determine appropriate adjustments in an easy to read, very informative way. I found a little trick of perspective or tool for retaining positive energy in ever chapter, and each one ends with an exercise for empowering your mind with the capacity to keep hope and willpower fresh. A wonderful read that nourishes the soul.

What are you waiting for! Now is the beginning of a new year and time to commit to a new way of being in the world. I found this book most helpful in scaffolding my way to greater joy and fulfillment. Accept the invitation being offered to you by these authors and know you will be giving yourself a most precious gift. In opening the pages, you will be opening your possibilities to a life that more autheticially resembles your dreams. As the pages unfold so too does your personal prescription for living in harmony with your inspired vision.

"The Inspired Life" is a book that is easy to read and easy to carry with you which I would recommend so you can pull it our when you are feeling down or stuck. You will find uncomplicated practical advice as to how to break through and move forward towards your inspired life. That in itself is inspiring.

After browsing through this book I realized it was not what I thought it would be. In ordering it I thought I would be lead with Bibical scripture which would help me get back on track after a recent divorce.

After reading "The Inspired Life" by Susyn Reeve, I confidently gave the book to friends & family as holiday gifts knowing it would be appreciated. I read the book through once and now go back to certain specific chapters to refresh and remember. The text in my book is underlined and the margins hold notes and stars to remind me of the passages that meant so much to me. I love when a book touches my heart...this book did that.
