"In this quiet effort that is all the more successful for its modesty, Dan Joseph does an excellent job of getting close to the heart of a teaching that can have truly miraculous effects. First clarifying that the Course definition of miracles has little to do with unusual physical events and everything to do with 'inner experiences that bring peace to our minds and kindness to our hearts,' Joseph then sets forth twelve simple exercises that help readers manifest those kinds of miracles in the midst of everyday life. In general, these exercises all suggest the discipline of learning to recognize and confront ones worst habits of fear-driven thought and isolating emotions and then asking inwardly for help to release those patterns and let a better way of living and relating take their place.
"The Course itself is so thick and abstruse that it can take people years to understand that this simple yet profound discipline is its main thrust. Joseph handles it so clearly and concisely that people with no Course background whatsoever will probably find this handbook eminently useful. He has the knack of making an extraordinary approach to authentic transformation sound ordinary. This salutary style echoes the Course itself when it suggests that 'Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.'"

Uplifting, down-to-earth, accessible, inspirational...,

This review is from: Inspired by Miracles: On Miracles, Relationships, and Inner Guidance (Paperback)
With Inspired by Miracles, Dan Joseph has written a critically important book in troubled times. With a style that is at once simple yet thought-provoking, and a tone of genuine warmth and wisdom, Dan guides the reader through coherent, useful exercises that won't make you cringe, but rather can enable a clear psychometric analysis of events to rise to the surface. I personally found his approach to be very helpful, and his suggestions feasible, understandable, and uncomplicated. While focusing in on miracles, relationships, and inner guidance, Dan offers his refreshing take on A Course in Miracles, which I appreciated - he doesn't get bogged down with semantics, but sticks to the overriding principles. I strongly recommend Inspired by Miracles. Though nonfiction, you won't want to put this book down. Enjoy!

This review is from: Inspired by Miracles: On Miracles, Relationships, and Inner Guidance (Paperback)
The guidance offered for deepening your understanding of the concepts in A Course In Miracles through this beautiful book shows insight and deep love not only for God but for everyone. I was awed by the faith that urges us to speak so gently to God in asking for a change in perspectives concerning relationships and inner guidance. This is a book I will read many times.

This is a wonderful, thoughtful and inspiring book. It is also very practical wisdom. The author is both generous and kind. This is a book of solid spiritual therapy. It is a shame it is out of print. It would make an excellent Kindle book.
