I purchased my Dell Inspiron 1000 in 2004 right before going to graduate school. It lasted quite a while and had many hours logged, and finally the battery started saying that it needed to be calibrated everytime the computer was turned on. This was an obvious sign that the battery had come to the end of its life. I ordered this product as a direct replacement and it works great!! When the computer was new, I would only get 1.5-2.0 hrs of life out of the battery (under max battery conditions). Now, with the new Li-ion battery, I get at least 3 hrs of run time and the computer itself just runs faster and smoother than having the old battery out and using just AC power from the wall. The fit was perfect and the charging was fast. If your looking for a great OEM product for your older Dell, this product is the best!! Highly recommend and I would purchase again.

Great product. High quality batteries. Looks 100% like original, batteries charge low warm and run cool to touch. A very good buy for $60. Battery lasts about 3.3 hours in my inspiron 2200 with ATT mercury wireless cellular USB also running.

I've only had this battery for one day but it worked great right out of the box and being lithium instead of NiMH it is lighter than the original. Regarding the comment below by J. Hanlon about the shape of the battery, you just have to slide the curved end piece off the old battery and slide it onto the new one for a perfect fit.

This was an easy answer to my old battery problem. Ordered it, it came, and I put it an in about 30 seconds. No having to take it in. Very happy with product.

Bought this battery for my laptop, works great. The only thing is the outside edge is not curved as it shows in the picture to match the structure of my laptop. Other than that is great and would recommend this product to buy.

I bought one of these for a Dell Inspiron 2200. The battery looks good, is not physically damaged, fits correctly. However it is unuseable. The laptop gives the error message on boot up that the battery cannot be charged because it is not recognized. I have done what can be done to troubleshoot the issue including updating the BIOS and checking settings. Bad battery. Returning for refund.

I order the above battery from SunvalleyTek for my Dell Inspirion 1200 and it would not charge or be recognized. I asked if it was compatible with my laptop model or is there a problem with the battery and they replied "Thank you for your email. The battery is compatibel with Dell Inspiron: 1000,2200 Dell Latitude: 110L, compatible part numbers:312-0292, 312-0326, 312-0334,312-0335, 312-0346, M5701, T5443, W5543, G9812, H9566."

Obviously they just took out the 1200 and left all else as is. Seemed strange for me. They would not allow for a replacement as they said they did not have any 1200 batteries in stock but said I can get a refund after I return the battery. A real pain as I live in the Caribbean and already had to pay shipping and duty to get it here.

Enabled an Inspiron 1200 to be mobile again! Arrived in expected time and according to tracking. Had to flip the plastic part that comprises the case molding on the battery so that it would slide into the slot correctly. Once in place it was charging and after a couple of hours it was fully charged where the PC/DC power stated that it will last 3.5 hours, but have not tested this. The old one was nearly bad when I got the laptop and only would last about 15 minutes and could not leave untethered to the outlet, eventually needing replaced as indicated by the flashing amber laptop light. It has only been three days and this replacement is performing better then expected.

Got the battery, plugged it in, and it was already showing a charge!

Disconnected the AC adapter and it was running great on battery power alone.

Great purchase and a long time coming.
