Write Topic...Wrong Book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Install, Configure, and Customize Red Hat Linux 7 (Paperback)
A very poorly written book. When I followed one of the author's hints about installation, it resulted in an unstable system. The system is to be dual boot and the author simply said modify the lido.conf file - no examples given. The information I collected about my system was never used in the install. Red Hat does a great job. The author did not.

Excellent for Linux on desktops,
This review is from: Install, Configure, and Customize Red Hat Linux 7 (Paperback)
It is great, it guides you step by step to have a desktop machine up and running fast. Not too good for learning Linux Server administration, but to learn the basics needed to replace Windows on your desktop. It includes good references to Linux standard documentation and images so you know what are you doing. The best reference for Linux on Desktop.

Unless you are just starting with Red Hat don't get this. Only the basics.
