Installation includes removing the factory or aftermarket stereo system, mounting the unit in-dash, installing the GPS Antenna, and connecting the unit to existing speakers or amplifier. Notes:
(situations where extra charges may apply at time of installation)- If the factory wires or dashboard has been cut or damaged due to a previous unprofessional installation or theft, installation may require additional parts and labor.
- Onstar and some other factory security systems play through the factory radio, and the installation of an after factory stereo may require replacement modules.
- If the in-dash DVD player has a satellite antenna that has to be mounted on the dashboard or the exterior of the vehicle, installation may require additional parts and labor.
- In most cases the in-dash DVD player will also take the place of an existing car stereo. In some vehicles this will require a non-standard installation or rewiring a factory amplifier or steering wheel controls.
- Some vehicles may require optional mounting brackets or additional labor due to the complexity of the existing radio removal.

The worst purchase of the year,

When I showed $200 DVD navigation install card to the shop owner, he told me that install card is giving him only $128. I confirmed it by talking to installcard rep. on phone; she said the remaining 40% is for installcard fees. Thus, I paid not only $200 for install card but an extra $72 to make it $200 for the installation shop. If you are a goof, you are welcome to buy this total loss. The best thing is to find an installer yourself in your area rather than involving these people and paying them 40% commission.

the company that installed my radio was very professional and did the job quickly. The finished product looked fantastic but it ended up costing additional money that was more than the orginal card.

this is a rip off! the good installers will not install for the price that installer net pays them but will for the price you pay installer net installer net takes 40% for there fee.
