About the Author

Pam Schiller, Ph.D., is an early childhood author, consultant, and highly sought after speaker. She has written numerous articles for early childhood journals, including Child Care Information Exchange and Texas Child Care Quarterly. Pam is the author of five early childhood curriculums, eleven children's books and more than 30 teacher and parent resource books. Joan Rossano began her career in education as a public school teacher. Since then, she has worked as a department chair, established a private school and day care center in Firewood, TX, and founded and directed the Child Development Laboratory School in her hometown of Alvin, TX.

Dr. Pam Schiller has an impressive career spanning nearly every facet of the early childhood profession. She was supervisor of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the Pasadena (Texas) Independent School District, and Assistant Professor at the University of Houston at Clear Lake.

Dr. Schiller has authored numerous articles for early childhood journals as well as teacher resource books including The Instant Curriculum, co-authored by Joan Rossano and published Gryphon House.

Beyond her professional life, she maintains a special - and active interest in nature and the environment. Pam is the mother of two grown daughters and is a very proud grandmother-to-be!

I first got this book from the library and realized I couldn't live without it. It is a great book. I have a daycare with 6 children and it comes in handy all the time.
