Product Description

This Instant Granite Counter Top Cover Venecia Gold 36 x 144 peel and stick granite film was featured on many HGTV, DIY and National TV shows such as Rachel Ray. It has been used on many TV and movie sets because it is the MOST realistic product on the market. Easy to Install and remove and last for ages. FAQs - Can you cut on this? No. Make sure to treat this material like you would any laminate or melamie countertop. - Will it melt? Yes it will melt at 140 degrees F. Make sure to use trivets like you would any non-stone counter top.. The natural vs artificial lighting of your kitchen and the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colors, and because everyone sees these colors differently, the color of the product you receive may vary slightly inside your home. To make installation easier by preventing unnecessary seams, we will combine orders with multiple lengths into one piece of material up to 30 ft.

I love the look of the countertop now.

I had one counter top with radius corners and found it better to do the edge separate and trim it with a razor blade.

We are renting a home with old laminate counter tops. Since the faux granite was endorsed by HGTV, DIY and Rachel Ray, we decided to give it a try. My advice is to start with a small area to get the hang of it. Peel about 1/2" of the backing down the length of one side. Once you get it aligned and bubble free, slowly peel the backing as you smooth out the faux granite with something with a smooth edge (I used a 12" ruler and a credit card). Overall, this looks fantastic and it was fairly easy to install. Next, we plan to do the bathroom countertops.

I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF AND PEOPLE CANNOT BELIEVE IT ISN'T GRANITE. I RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING TO UPGRADE THEIR KITCHEN FOR LITTLE COST. I AM VERY MUCH LOVING MY KITCHEN NOW. I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OVER A $1000 TO GET WHAT I WANT BUT INSTEAD I PAID LESS THAN $100.

The last 4 ft of my2nd roll was wrinkled and ugly. Rather than leave unfinished I made do and covered the wrinkles with cannisters. The seller offered to replace the damaged amount but I didn't want to wait. It is an inexpensive improvement over my old formica countertop but I don't think anyone would believe it's granite. I found it awkward to peel the paper off and unroll the way it shows in the video, I kept unrolling crooked and having to start over. With another person to hold the end it was easier. The pattern is busy enough that it was easy to hide seams. I thought the rounded curve in my formica counter would be the trickiest part but making lots of little cuts around the curve and smoothing down with the hair dryer, it turned out surprisingly well.

This stuff is really cool. It is like contact paper (except removable) that you lay on your counters. I had white formica counters and used this to cover them. We do have rounded corners (e.g. island) that were extremely difficult to make look smooth/nice, but so far our guests haven't noticed without being told. If you look very closely (like 6 inches away), you can see the pixels in the "image" but from a regular distance it looks real. Honestly, even if people know it's not real, it looks better than the white formica. Think of it as granite colored formica instead. A huge improvement. The nice thing is that it's super easy to remove if you don't like it. We have a lot of counters, so we ordered 36 feet for a total of $180. That's a fairly inexpensive way to update a kitchen (certainly thousands less than real granite). They say one person can do it, but it really does take two people. I recommend viewing the "how to" videos available on youtube as they were very helpful to me. It took the two of us about 6-8 hours to get it all done. I will say that the company's customer service is amazing. The shipping time said 3 weeks but I needed it sooner and I called to ask if it could be expedited and they readily helped me out and it shipped the next day. Do note that if you order several rolls, they come on one roll (so you can't return the extra if you don't need it) but they still come as separate sheets. That is, my three 12 foot sheets were three separate sheets, but all wrapped in one roll (I wrongly assumed it would be one 36 foot sheet). The faux granite does show any kind of bump or texture underneath, so be careful to remove any fleck of dust. For example, there are spots where we had to put a "patch" underneath, and the raised lines from the patch show through.Read more ›

I really like this product. My countertops look great. my only complaint is that when using the blow dryer around sink edge it can get to hot and the scraper can cut the film.

Looks much better than I expected. Easier to apply than I expected. As a renter, I wanted something that would update my kitchen, but I didn't want to make permanent changes or damage the countertop. I originally planned to use the onyx, but the Venecia Gold is very forgiving. No seams show, so I wound up covering the 80 year old cracked tile on my backsplash. It looks great.

My son installed this product on my cabinets and they look beautiful. They actually look like real granite from a distance.
